If Cascabel was part of the IMF deal, then it will be mined. (I have no idea if it is). But if so would Banks seeking to lend to Solg, get their loans underwritten by the IMF? That would make a difference to perceptions here.

No doubt the MMs will now drop the price to backfill...

My purchases took a total of 20 minutes to be filled...that tells a story...

Editorial Opinion from El Comercio today...influential Quito paper...

"It is a week full of storms and absurd actions. The majority want to recover lost time but a violent minority paralyzes not only production but basic services, on behalf of the country. While mobility is recovering somewhat in several cities and the damage is cleared, yesterday several roads were still cut and economic activities affected. The country woke up with the denunciation of the death of two indigenous people. The causes have not been clarified and in the afternoon there was the funeral of one of them. In the agora of the House of Culture, a group of indigenous people listened to harangues while learning about the retention of several police and journalists. The speeches on and the hard word were the tonic. The Government rejected forced retention. A cowardly aggression suffered from Teleamazonas journalist Freddy Paredes. He did his job as a reporter and decided to leave the place when he was attacked from behind with a stone that caused injuries. An energetic rejection and solidarity. Throughout the day, 17 foreign citizens who had valuable "intelligence" information about the movements of the President and Vice President were informed. The figure of a conspiracy against democracy and its authorities continues to be clarified. The investigation of foreign detainees must be thorough and identify those responsible. The infiltration of agents of violence motivated by some perverse puppeteer shows that the theory of the coup attempt has a hold. The destabilizing discourse has clearly identified leaders and leaders. Tension ensued as long as dialogue and conciliation were desirable. Efforts to bring positions closer, to make a plan for agriculture a reality and the compensation of the case must come soon with full acceptance. A way to balance the balance after the measurements. The country requires dialogue and mediation. Patriotic Ecuador wants to work, produce, build a country of peace, economic development and social progress. Let's do it!

If Trump and China finally do a deal (and both parties need a deal) I would expect copper to pick up, it's already firmed up a little, presumably in anticipation.

Always worth reading the considered views of long term interested party (not sure if still invested?) Chris Temple from the National Investor $SOLG.L $CGP #cascabel #ecuador SolGold

"...Certainly, it is way too early to divine any meaningful changes that could affect the mining industry generally, and the recent eagerness on the part of foreign mining companies to invest in Ecuador specifically. By and large --having been defeated in court now, and with the public more embracing of the industry—most of what is left to anti-mining groups is vandalism and the like. But by all appearances, Moreno has both the stomach and ability to fight back against those."

(Thanks to those who namecheck my postings in their own UK BB postings. Many others sadly don't which is a shame!)

All holders got to make their own minds up. Couldn't possibly try to influence anyone. Too many shorters? Come out of the woodwork. Think it's uncalled for to criticise NM.

Trouble is no one really knows what is going on apart from the board and they are not telling. It's the uncertainty that's killing it.
