Well I just added. If it's good enough for IC to tip last week it's good enough for me. Positives far outweigh the negatives and risk reward here looks good.

Each day we wait for the judgement the share price will continúe to fall as those realise their monies could be wipped out.

Anybody holding now must front the possibility that they could lose the lot .

Imho it is just not worth the risk .

We can buy back after the result even if it means paying more .

The other question that has not been answered is if we do win then is there a right for the greens to appeal at any stage in the futue ..or does this guarentee we can mine Alpala .

"very disappointing" is hardly how I feel about it! It does though mean a transfer of shares from the alarmed to the confident, all good business for the MMs. I ask myself would I go short at this level? No I wouldn't because it's all too unpredictable, at any moment these judges could announce something that turns it all around even though we believe it's in purdah until the 20th?

Ecuador has gone from a promising 'mining friendly' place, to an Alice in Wonderland place of the quixotic and unpredictable. If the government expects serious levels of foreign investment, this sort of thing must not be allowed to happen again.

None of us know how this will pan out which i very disappointing.
All the effort and exploration costs should be rewarded.
We can only hope for a successful outcome.

They cannot do it slowly . They have to make a stand now . Whats the point in spending millions only to have the project taking away by a few locals .

Who wants to invest in companies drilling for minerals when there is a high chance that these projects will be taken away .

mknight, that's why I believe the government will work to change legislation, I'm quite sure the mining companies are telling the government that certainty is essential or they will cease operations. I would expect the government to make changes quietly but to make them nonetheless.

Politics is a tricky old business as we know all too well, hence the need for due process to be seen to be happening, even if the time lag is exasperating.

There's hundreds of $ billions in potential tax revenues to be had from mining, all governments are spend thrifts of other peoples money, the Ecudorean government is going to wave goodbye to the buried treasure.

I agree it should never have been allowed to come to this, but I don't believe even in South America that they are crazy enough to kill the golden goose. Every miner in the country will be watching and making their views known to the government. At this point the government won't want to rock the local boat, but whatever the result I should think the government will be changing legislation so that matters of national importance will supercede local politics. To not do so will see flight of foreign capital, and it won't be back for a very long time.

Should have paid this guy off, leadership has gone said for ages he should have stepped aside, more interested in getting his share options, which will never happen now, and hasnt kept his eye on the ball.

How many locals are employed, not many, most that are employed are from middle class or weathly families, geologist need to go to unversity, in the capital, locals are tribes, most have never gone to school, get real.
