There is SOLG;'s get out of jail card. An EGM would need to be called to invoke it.

That one of the reasons for me voting NO to BHP ridiculously cheap offer.

I will not be at the AGM as its in Brisbane AU at 11 am 13 October.

If anyone here is could they please ask Scott Caldwell why in his opinion BHP Proposal is NOT in the best interests of SolGold and its shareholders. A straight forward question that deserves a straight forward answer.

Well every batch of shares sold is seriously being mopped up by a big buyer, something else is around the corner me tinks.

That depends on your investment time frame. An improvement offer can come anytime...and so when it does 22p will look cheap. Other the hand...they BHP may wanna buy out the complete holdings and then 22p will look like dust in the air.

It is inconceivable to me that BHP having made an initial bid that was rejected won't now make another. We shall shortly see.

I very much doubt that BHP don't come in with a better offer and the offer is rejected and as you put it 'all bets are off'.

Scott Cadwell is on record that there are other major player interested in the Cascabel project. Far too early for me to dig out his statement.

I am prepared to wait and see what transpires over the coming months.

Considering the more recent news, and that the share price was 3p not all that long ago! this story is a hot one!
Some spike when looking at the graphs and a present market cap of about 235 million!!( no doubt someone will disagree) but feel that there is Considerably much more to come !! GLA Holders

It's all a bit of fun Greatful Dead, some of the numbers being bandied about are spectacular and literally fabulous. That 80 billion tonnes at 2% copper equivalent, if it is anywhere near is stunning. That's 4.4lbs per tonnes at current circa $2.15 a lb, almost $9.50c per tonne. Even if it cost $9 a tonne to extract and process, that's still $40 billions worth of resource. That's $32 a share! It all seems far too fantastical, hence my willingness to accept £10 a share :¬D

One wonders what history NM has with Newcrest or BHP? Because trust and co-operation will be important going forwards. BHP seem to be overly complex in their approach and want to get it on the cheap, and possibly sit on it until it suits them to begin mining? Lets see if any late offers come in. I'll take a tenner a share :¬) for the whole thing outright.
