This is the dilema. But what a pleasant one. To sell or hold on. Sold some years ago only to see price fall back. Too scared to sell. Think I have to be brave and hang on. It looks like things are finally coming together and we are about to be rewarded for our faith.

Decent volume today. Nice indicator that I find. Large volume on a rally. Although I did top slice a little above 18 today from recent top ups.

Lef. So agree with your post. Ure right about interest...if NewCrest pays double that says it all. What ever happens...we'll all have a huge smile on our faces. Assuming one holds on.

wisteria2, to be frank I have little idea as to what Solg is truly worth, other than it seems to be a huge resource in a country with reasonable infrastructure and a government minded to encourage miners.

A huge mining house (Newcrest) who know their game, have just paid double what they wanted to pay a few weeks ago, so there must be more than one interested party out there.

In the end it will be a mining business, cost of extraction/processing/shipping against the market price of the metals extracted. A simple costs versus selling price of finished product, like any other manufacturer. Getting the raw material at the right price is crucial in the balance. All that Solg has is the raw material, although a feasibility study will help to identify the real value of that raw material.

If the resource is truly huge, perhaps 30 years worth or more, we might see a contest to bid for it, on the basis that over time, real useful things tend to rise against fiat currencies. Buy it now to lock in your future advantage.

Whatever happens I'm just going to wait it out, whether it becomes a target for a big buyer, or whether they do a partnership deal.

Lefrene, would be nice 2 and a half quid a share!...my guess will be sold to a miner for a £1.00 a share. GLA HOLDERS exciting times for gold stocks.

AP Findlay

If you have level 2 which I do you can see it's the MM's who are looking for stock moving around on any sized trade

IMO they are unsure which price to market the stock at

So what if there are sellers

The next few pieces of news will lift the stock higher and a rerate is on the cards

Whatever your game good luck

apfindley, I agree it does happen, but of course there are also those out to talk prices down for their very same masters. In the case of Solg there is plenty of evidence to underwrite resource values, and plenty of evidence of the interest of major mining houses, eg the uplift from 8c to 16c paid by Newcrest for their holding as they pay in £millions (real money) to fund on going exploration.

You can sell if you want apfindley, but with insiders holding options at 28p, I'd say that 28p will come and go in a few weeks or sooner.
