21/9/2016 21:26 | Nice decent buys on the close.Momentum is with us. | brahmsnliszt
21/9/2016 19:11 | Gold moving in a very positive manner.Now 1330$ | billthebank
20/9/2016 14:55 | I was expecting it to tread water until that meeting mid October Billthebank. Nice to see it creep upwards. Must be that $80 billions worth of resource acting like a magnet :¬) | lefrene
20/9/2016 08:41 | Just loving this share at present with its slowly sustained share price rise. Hoping for 14p by eow. Also clearly not on anyone's radar judging by the paucity of comments. | billthebank
19/9/2016 09:22 | Yes but the share price has already had a rocket under it!! not that long ago share price was around 3p for a period.More likely newcrest will up the amount of shares at the discounted share price of 6.1p to increase there holding as more drilling results come in!! that's my guess anyway, and share price will trade at this level for some time.GLA | wisteria2
16/9/2016 17:11 | A positive end to the day giving us the highest close to the week we've had in a long, long time - small sherry Mrs Wembley! | kyoquot
16/9/2016 14:23 | Pretty sure resource statements don't cover mining techniques. costs or refining or shipping, they are just about establishing what is in the ground. What you are after comes later in the feasibility study. However, if they can identify resource nearer the surface within Alapala then that bodes well for the feasibility study when it comes. If they find shallow ore in one of the other locations then it still takes a fair bit of drilling to define the resource, so quite a wait. The deep drilling here has also stretched the timescales. | noccer
16/9/2016 11:14 | Noccer, they were talking extraction by block caving which is high cost, since then they believe they may have a viable resource much closer to the surface, perhaps close enough to mine the surface? If so it would be a great deal cheaper to extract and thus provide capital for the necessary kit to extract deeper down. It would be good to seem some cost projections, to gain an idea of the margin available. If they do indeed have $82 billions worth of ore, what is it going to cost to extract, ship and process? Looking at that rns, it would seem likely that the share price will tread water until 13th October. Unless of course another large mining house decides it wants in. | lefrene
16/9/2016 09:27 | I see in the presentation that the maiden resource is expected 2017, whereas it had been Q3 2016. Thats a pretty important milestone to get quietly moved - though I see now that they did say on the 30th August announcement that it would be delayed due to the high grrade intersection in hole 17, but they still said then that it is planned for 2016. | noccer
16/9/2016 09:17 | And still we rise and this thread is so quiet. I wonder if the chatter will increase once we are above 15p. For all those who bought in at episode hard off to you!!! | billthebank
15/9/2016 21:36 | Me too crab4t, perhaps people can't be bothered to read that report? Not that it matters with us urchins on here, the big boys with the deep pockets will have read it. But it's there for all to read, so thanks again Kyoquot. | lefrene
15/9/2016 19:46 | To say there has been plenty of activity on the share price movements I am surprised at how little comment or activity there has been on this BB.Comments welcome. | crab4t
15/9/2016 17:27 | Something deffo happening here as the so reaction of late vindicated.Lot more to come here. | billthebank
15/9/2016 16:16 | Thank you Kyoquot. Estimate a total of 30 million Oz Gold and 9 million tonnes of Copper, unless I've misread that very detailed report. At $1300 oz for Gold that's circa $40 billion At $4700 tonne for Copper that's circa $42 billion Now you just have to work out what it costs to extract ship and refine. But that of course is at todays value, over time real things rise against fiat currencies. Looks like a business with a future, even if it's a few more years before some of that value can be released. And for the chartists, that looks like a 'flag' forming. | lefrene
15/9/2016 15:48 | There is a new presentation available on the company website. | kyoquot
09/9/2016 13:45 | Onwards and upwards then. (or perhaps not) | lefrene
09/9/2016 13:30 | a lot of big buys in background now 3v2 | jimmmy
09/9/2016 13:27 | Good post kdr.V much agree. | brahmsnliszt
09/9/2016 13:07 | One more point to add, Ecuador is back open for mining and investment. This was out a couple of months ago in a Cornerstone Capital Resources release: "Thanks to changes in the taxation of mining projects implemented by the Government on the advice of international consultant Wood Mackenzie, summarized at the following link www.cornerstoneresou | kdr246
09/9/2016 13:06 | Our new non exec also thinks so kdr246, he has 18.75 million shares. | lefrene
09/9/2016 13:02 | I assume this is profit taking & the market is walking it lower today. Markets drift and sellers will always emerge on the quick spikes. However it is interesting to not lose sight of the fact that Cascabel lies in the rich Andean Copper Belt with very good company in the region. Other project & mine owners include Codelco, Anglogold Ashanti, First Quantum, ENAMI and Lundin (Codelco and ENAMI being Chile and Ecuador govt owned). Other projects in the region include 900mio to 1bio tonnes at 0.9% CU, porphyry with 900mio tonnes AU at 0.9 g/t, the monster Cobre Panama with 3.3bio tonnes at 0.36% CU and some of the highest undeveloped gold at 9.59 g/t. There is every reason to believe that Cascabel will join the group of tier one projects. Market movers that generate significant wealth (for the country & shareholders) and create new major mining companies. The majors will be watching SOLG closely, even more so now that NEWC are involved with the team, bringing in more expertise, especially in u/g block cave mining. Majors are always on the look out for the next tier one that will make a difference. Thus in my view, it is still very cheap, despite this move. Long term buy imv. | kdr246
09/9/2016 12:11 | Thought 13-14p was on the cards not 10p, just have to wait | jimmmy |
