Interesting articles, surely cartels are illegal, I hope that the DoJ really hurts them both financially and jail where approriate

I've just found this in todays 'Wall Street on Parade' leading article

"Speaking of a get out of jail free card, JPMorgan Chase, which has already pleaded guilty to three criminal felony counts brought by the U.S. Department of Justice since 2014, is currently under a criminal investigation for turning its precious metals trading desk into a racketeering enterprise, according to the DOJ. Goldman Sachs is also under a DOJ criminal investigation for its role in a bribery and embezzlement scandal in Malaysia known as 1MDB. Don’t expect the DOJ to move forward with these charges while these banks are bleeding capital and making hollow promises to be good Samaritans to their credit card and home mortgage customers."

One thing this episode is high lighting, is that in Europe when the chips are down it's everyman for himself! The aged population of Italy will be a factor and being crowded into flats in cities in the North will be a factor, and how much has been brought in from China via the leather industry workers? However I also wonder if there is a correlation with national debt too? As in we 'had a much bigger problem than anybody else, so give us a break!'

We will never know of course, before long the headlines will be all about the financial pain, new taxes, and pulling together etc, and the bug will quietly fade away from the front pages.

I think Italy will peak in cases next week .Then fall sharply the week after . So markets will be choppy next week but the following i think we will see plenty of blue .

I predicted 90000 and we have 86500 .

Next week italy 120.000 cases imho

mknight, via a Cambridge Institute video I have recently learnt that the silver and gold market is dominated by 8 large firms who short the market in unison acting as a cartel. A significant player is JP Morgan so I guess the others are also the Reserve Banks. JP Morgan has been amassing very large holdings in silver since 2017 and it is thought that silver will appreciate much more rapidly than gold once these 8 players take their foot off the oxygen pipe. So it would seem that we await upon these masters of the universe to decide that their ducks are lined up to their satisfaction, and then the brakes will come off! Perhaps some of that $4 trillion is going to be funding industrial scale call options in the precious metals markets quite soon? Not that I'm a cynic you understand!

I said that in a coverstation to lefrene that the supply side would drop so he might get his 1800 gold price .

I am going to watch this to the end today . Ntbb said there maybe a buyer which is possible ... does he have time or does he need them quickly .

What would you do ..

I would wait for the UT and Snap up the amount i wanted that way the price has stayed stable and not been pushed up

It could push marginal miners over the edge and they shut down all together, which would certainly help the investment case for Solg.

Interesting as demand side weakness drove base metals down (esp China copper usage of course), but now looks like the virus is going to hit the supply side, so the whole demand/supply balance could be changing.

He can buy them at 16.48p or rather he will be able to buy after MRE3.

Let hope he has to pay at least 25p

If he is going to buy on the open market he would in theory need to put out all news before he buys .

NM has the following share options all exercisable at 60p....Thus if the share price does not go over 60p he does not make anything....

26,250,000 Expire 08 th August and 5,000,000 expiring in 2021

Also on the 11th march rns board has made it clear it's their intention to buy shares, I think it goes to show even they are surprised at the low share price

We know news due any moment and considering bhp newcrest paid shares upto 45p and since then gold prices gone up and copper recovering and with energy prices going down, we really shouldn't be at these prices bwtfdik
