All longer term holders have seen spectacular share price rises in the past.
Surely, another one due soon-well that's why we've been holding isn't it.
Recently every positive RNS has failed to lift price.
Keep the faith. GLA.

It's a general horror story all round, at least Solg has no debts and is not forced to sell anything to keep ticking over. Now we know they have a financial plan and a timetable for Alpala, and amongst those other 72 holdings there will be another Alpala or three. In the meantime one of the big hitters might try to make an offer, what better time to attempt to muscle in, if you have deep pockets in a crisis.

Best to sit on your hands until the FTSE hits the 4000/4500 points. Easier to make money on the up than on the down unless you're a shorter. They'll be plenty of buying opportunities in the next few weeks but hey WTF do I know

Markets moving really quickly which in a strange way feels better than a year of small drops .

We have hit a bear market from the tops in less than a month .Another 5 percent today . Taking us to 25/30 percent down from the highs.

Unless we are starting on the major stock market crash that some have been predicting. If so, May or June is likely to be the nadir.

An interesting day today on the markets .
Would seem like today is going to be a bit Rough. Fast foward a few months and things should be somewhat better . May should bring some sunshine to the markets .

Long term yes, but I suspect more downside to come. I think you are being too optimistic with the 6 weeks rationale. China has thrown the kitchen sink at it, whilst we are paying lip service to it.

Some are looking beyond the virus . I suspect in 3 to 4 months it will be all gone .

China is a good Guide to where we will be in 6 weeks.

Sell the highs buy the lows in this market. More pain to come when the UK goes into lockdown in the next 2-3 weeks

I don't think it's an overly technical nor complex message, so people will have got it. There is still an element of trust lacking in the board actually delivering. Also, everyone is overly cautious in the current market.I suggest that as we see the MRE3 and financing delivered, the price will project upwards. I believe we will go above 50p in the next 6 months.

Alot of people do not seem to understand the RNS. I guess it will when the Sp rises strongly in the coming days .

The announcement has a number of positives:1. They are giving us news before they need to, meeting the concerns which have been raised about the lack of news flow.2. They are on track to give us MRE3 within 4 weeks.3. They are looking to tie up both the short and longer term financing in the near term and are on track to achieve this.4. Longer term financing will be priced at DFS levels.5. The regional sites could surpass Cascabel in mineral content. In different times, this list of positives would have projected us back towards the 45p region.

Well what do we make of that folks. Lot to digest but encouraging that directors will buy more shares at appropriate time. Just depends I suppose on how much dilution along the way to 2.#billion raise! Hopefully lot of debt rather than equity issue

Interesting AFR article behind paywall Solgold $SOLG $SOLG.L $CGP #cascabel #ecuador.

"...SolGold's dwindling cash reserves mean it will be forced to raise funds in the near future, but chief executive Nick Mather told AFRT on Monday that he did not expect the past week's market rout to affect his company's ability to raise money."

Well worth listening to for anyone interested in ecuador mining Solgold $SOLG $SOLG.L $CGP #cascabel #ecuador.

$LUG Lundin Gold CEO Ron Hochstein discusses Ecuador as a mining jurisdiction (Fruta del Norte) and Elisa Moran, an advisor to the Ministry of Energy and Non-renewable Natural Resources in Ecuador, provides an overview of the Ecuadorian mining laws and regulations. Elisa also address investor questions about Ecuador and discusses the need to engage the local communities.

For those who think Nick Mather is taking too long...

"In 2000, Ivanhoe Mines began exploration in Mongolia that led to a decade of discoveries that revealed a 12.4-kilometre-long (7.7-mile), tier-one chain of copper and gold deposits in the South Gobi region. Construction of the Oyu Tolgoi mining complex began in 2010 and production started in 2013."

hxxps://www.ivanhoemines.com/site/assets/files/4078/RMF-IVANHOE-MINES-formatted-business-profile-for-website-20190320.pdf

"Conceptually, each of these three targets could all be as big as SolGold’s (LON:SOLG) Cascabel project in Ecuador. That discovery for SolGold was a twenty-bagger, from a raising at 2.3p per share to fund its target testing phase drilling in March 2016, to the 45p per share price at which BHP Group (LON:BHP) invested US$59mln in October 2018."

From an article on Kincora Copper...another project with Robert Friedland's involvement..

[...]

Kincora was 2,145 CDN in 1996...currently 0.035CDN...it will be one of the three biggest new mines in the world...

SOLG was floated at the equivalent of 51.50 in 2006...it was 1.58 in January 2015...and then with Alpala we took off in mid 2016...

So Conditional Finance by Q3 and first copper production in Q2 2025 is not bad going...

And BTW its all very well banging NM, but he has a big, experienced Board of Directors and two major holders to account to...they're not idiots...

Patience is a virtue...if you don't like what's happening now, sell up, go away and buy back when you think something worthwhile is happening...

But that carries two risks`;

You miss the bounce back or...

You miss the first 'low ball' bid at 40p and the subsequent bidding war for Alpala...

AIMHO as usual...

PS In the meantime I have some excellent cover in VILX...
