I don't think anything is holding this back other than the buyers.

Too much irrelevant news, nobody is interested except us small time punters.

Biggest trade I can see this morning is £20k and its a sell.

(the same point you are making I guess)

I can only imagine the price is being held back by concerns they are spreading themselves too thin. They have limited cash and need to make certain of their future before expanding.

Solgold £SOLG newly available 20min presentation from Gold & Alternative Investments Conference Sydney October 2019 Nick Mather putting out investment case (though offering nothing new to market) $SOLG $SOLG.L $CGP #cascabel #ecuador.

He is thinking big at 13:45mins....

"...We want to make Ecuador the most important copper producing nation on earth"

"...We want to make Solgold the most important copper producing company on earth"

My goodness, what does it take to get this moving. A real shame given the underlying story and resource

Newcrest urges SolGold to avoid 'short term' funding fix

The explorer pursued by BHP and Newcrest Mining has been urged to avoid ''short-term fixes'' and raise funds in a way that prioritises existing shareholders and the long-term interests of its promising copper and gold project.

rest is sub..

Just been looking around - the same quote I posted is in the Jan 2020 presentation from Cornerstone.

I only read this today myself, but it is a shocker if true.

mmm - it's a fundamental point which you would think the two companies would agree on.

It is worth pointing out that SOLG disputed the joining plots but then went and gifted chunks to ENSA. So I am at a loss as to who is right, we do not have access to the legal agreement. One of them is deceiving share holders.

The only comment I can find from Feb 2019 within SOLG rns is the below? SolGold advises that Cornerstone's interpretation of the agreements with SolGold is also misleading. In fact, SolGold owns 85% of the beneficial and registered title in the shares in ENSA, which holds 100% of the Cascabel concession.

Exploraciones Novomining S.A. ("ENSA"), an Ecuadorean company owned by SolGold Plc and Cornerstone, holds 100% of the Cascabel concession. Subject to the satisfaction of certain conditions, including SolGold's fully funding the project through to feasibility, SolGold Plc will own 85% of the equity of ENSA and Cornerstone will own the remaining 15% of ENSA.

Ha Shabadi, that's just an outright lie. From the cascabel earn in agreement in February 2013:SolGold has the right to acquire up to 85% of ENSA by completing equity placements totalling C$1.2Million in Cornerstone and completing the phase 1, 2,500 metre drill program at Cascabel, planned to commence in or around May 2013.All of which have already been completed.

Just a reminder, SOLG need to take this through to BFS in order to get their full 85% allocation of ENSA.

A long way to go and lacking funds - desperate times.

SOLG cannot sell what they do not own.

Cornerstone call the shots until then, they have NM's nuts in their hands and starting to squeeze real hard.

Thank you pob69. An auction eh? So does that mean a deal between NM and Cornerstone where NM agrees to pay Cornerstone 15% of the proceeds if they hand over their 15% share of ENSA before an auction takes place. No one wants to buy something and then have to deal with CGP, it would damage the value of ENSA, hopefully CGP will see the sense of getting a better price by doing a pre-auction with NM. 2% or 2.5% of Cascabel has to be worth rather more than the current value?

Interesting article behind paywall on Solgold $SOLG $SOLG.L $CGP #cascabel #ecuador. Plenty there for investors to consider so worth paying for...

"....The rockstar explorer courted by BHP and Newcrest Mining is working on a major fundraising initiative and some shareholders believe it is time for an auction of its prized Ecuadorian asset."

"...expected to announce another fundraising within weeks, and ....believed managing director Nick Mather has been keen to source the funds from new investors beyond BHP and Newcrest."

I always like a good conspiracy, :¬) is the price being worked by friends of Solg to keep it down until the CGP position is sorted?

Well spotted POB. At face value, they are closer to the DFS and funding options than I would have thought. However, difficult to put a value on this.

The new RNS suggests a subtle change of emphasis "Getting Alpala advanced towards development" presented in background informat; Solgold $SOLG $SOLG.L $CGP #cascabel #ecuador

(...make your own judgement)

"The resource at the Alpala deposit boasts a high grade core which is targeted to facilitate early cashflows and an accelerated payback of initial capital (deleted the bit on "in the event of construction"). SolGold is currently assessing (previously "investigating options") financing options available to the Company for the development of the Alpala mine following completion of the Definitive Feasibility Study (previously "on reaching feasibility").
