11/2/2020 13:48 | trev1223, perhaps that is the chicken and egg conundrum that is causing the stand off? Solg won't want the licence until CGP is nailed down. | ![]() lefrene
11/2/2020 11:56 | Lefrene, I believe SOLG share price to be almost irrelevant to the major shareholder in CGP. They have an asset that costs them nothing until BFS. They then have 120 days to decide if they want to continue. If they do then all the costs up to BFS are covered by income from production. If they don't continue then they just hand over the (worthless) keys. So no stress for them, no funding required and the value is the asset in the ground. I can't see any takeover being accepted until they know the value of their 15%. And I don't see how the woes of SOLG are relevant to how they perceive their own value. IMHO Nothing will happen regarding CGP until April 2021 - judgement day. | shabadi
11/2/2020 11:46 | Surely it all depends on aquiring a mining permit from the Equadorian government. No one can move without it. When SOLG has that document then the share price will soar. IMO of course. | ![]() trev1223
11/2/2020 11:11 | I'm of the view that the price will remain depressed until CGP are sorted, Solg being the major part of CGP's value, a low price for Solg makes for a lower cost of getting control of CGP. | ![]() lefrene
11/2/2020 10:52 | I think we should all be looking forward to the information flows likely to come this year: 1.MRE3 – due this quarter. Unlikely to impact the share price by much unless it is a reduction on previous indications. 2.PFS - This is likely to move the share price a reasonable amount depending on outcome. 3.BFS – This will flush out the investors, including Cornerstone, and is the most likely point for any takeover action. There are other possible news impacts which cannot be predicted e.g. Ecuador’s political climate; Global economic activity etc. However, your view on the SOLG share price should be based on: 1.Your view on what each of the studies will say. 2.When you expect each of these studies to be complete. 3.Whether you think SOLG can fund through to delivery of the BFS and beyond. The lack of current news is leading to relatively random movements in the SOLG share price and should be unconcerning for any long-term holders. I am fully invested in SOLG but concerned how quickly they will be able to progress from MRE3 to PFS and BFS. They don’t have much cash to cushion any delays and so may need to seek additional interim funding unless they break the habit of a lifetime and start to deliver ahead of schedule. I am hoping that BHP may give them the resources and discipline to stay on track but fearful if the BFS timetable slips significantly. | ![]() lowtrawler
08/2/2020 21:29 | Yuff, how do you know the grades are good ?.Have you seen the new RNs ?. or are you relying on blind faith ?. When you say everyone else knows there good, how do they know?. Have they seen the new RNs ?.I personally have seen nothing from solg for several months to instill confidence. I've watched the share price plummet. I've watched the Irwin takeover debacle, but I've read nothing to back up your opinion. I've heard Mather say there will be multiple exit points for investors, I've heard Garwin say there's 12 majors sniffing round, but the fact is I've watched the share price drop to 18p, from 47p. So forgive me if I'm a little bit sceptical | lotstolearn1
08/2/2020 17:43 | Lots What utter rubbish. Grades are high and you know it as well as everyone else. | ![]() yufff

07/2/2020 10:45 | I wonder what the views are on here regarding posts ive read on other boards, that is that mather put in the ridiculous offer to Irwin, in the hope of flushing out a major. when that didnt work he never had a plan b, also that all solg operations in ecuador have been on hold for three months, and many workers laid off. also the mre3 delay is because the grades have not improved as hoped, and mather is scared to publish mre3 for fear of scaring of majors. | lotstolearn1
07/2/2020 09:26 | No worries. | ![]() pob69
07/2/2020 09:15 | Pob Thank you for keeping up our hopes by that summary as my Latin O level was not up to the task of translation. Mining is long term, greater than our short lives and we need to be patient not calling for heads to roll just because we need constant reassurance. Even so we are grateful for your diligence and generosity. | ![]() arcadian
07/2/2020 07:55 | Interesting interview behind paywall for mining in ecuador Solgold $SOLG $SOLG.L $CGP #cascabel #ecuador "...The Ecuadorian mining sector is a very attractive sector, because it is almost unexploited ; Very little has been done in mining. Ecuador is decades behind other countries in the region, but very large potential. There are already world-class discoveries. Due to its natural conditions, the country can add a lot of potential to develop a mining boom." Exploration in mining works with small companies, but when they find important deposits, they yield participation to larger companies. This process will continue in Ecuador, that is, small companies will continue to explore and, later, world-class companies will buy the projects or partner with them for exploitation. | ![]() pob69
07/2/2020 07:53 | I can see a lot of frustration being expressed by long-term holders. This is only natural as the price continues to drift down with lack of news. However, be careful what you wish for. Calling for NM to go is highly risky and could send the whole company over the edge I do think they have failed to meet the communication standards expected from a fully listed company. They are acting as if they are on AIM. Over the remainder of this year, there will be a string of announcements which will seal the future of SOLG one way or another. It's not always going to be a smooth ride but at least the price movements should reflect real news and not just boredom. Hang in there and enjoy. | ![]() lowtrawler
06/2/2020 13:28 | The question is would you give out news before you bought Cornerstone ? YES - them's the rules | shabadi
06/2/2020 13:06 | As i said before if they have found alot of gold they wont be Keen on sharing with Cornerstone in blanca y nieve 2 . The question is would you give out news before you bought Cornerstone ? It all adds up to good news imho but we are going to have to wait until Cornerstone and Solgold can come to some sort of an agreement when will that happen is anybodies guess. | ![]() mknight
06/2/2020 11:29 | mkight, I believe Solgold made changes to the Blanca concession to ensure that the areas where the gold had been found were, from memory, about 8 km from Cascabel so could not be included. So out of reach to Cornerstone. Edit: | pecker1
06/2/2020 11:07 | mknight Re your 19319. Blanca belongs to one of the four Ecquador subsidiary companies that are owned 100% by Solgold. So not part of ENSA. I hope Solgold will release news if their scout drilling and subsequent analysis suggests the likelihood of a major gold discovery. A second, larger drill programme should be enough to confirm this. | pecker1 |
