Outlook : Operating profit in the first six months of the financial year has been ahead of the Board's initial expectations. While the current geopolitical and macroeconomic volatility make it more difficult to forecast performance, because of the outperformance in the first half the Board now believes that the outturn for the full year will be ahead of previous estimates.

a couple of brokers upgraded late last week and called up upside surprises. they dont usually stick their necks out so id guess they will be ok. guidance is whats important.

Softcat published FY21 final results today confirming another year of strong organic growth, profitability and cash generation. Revenues were up 7.4% to £1,156.7m, operating profit up 27.4% to £119.4m, basic EPS up 26.7% to 48.4p. A final dividend of 14.4p plus a special dividend of 20.5p was paid. The company’s strong balance sheet position was maintained with net cash at year end of £101.7m (2020: £80.1m). So more overall solid performance despite the ongoing Pandemic. Valuation wise the company is not cheap, forward PE ratio of 42 is 3rd quartile for the Software & IT Services sector, PS ratio is a little better at 3.5 and top half for the sector. But tech names rarely trade cheaply. Growth has been solid, share price pullbacks minor over the past 5 years. SCT is one to BUY and hold....

No problem and all the best.Looks like a bit of a sell off with Tech stocks, it did get a bit ahead of itself in the summer (as did a lot of shares) and now it looks like it's overdone on the downside so contemplating averaging up.

The trade at 16:35 is the uncrossed trade that happens at the end of play every day and sets the closing price. It's not a real trade.

Been watching this share for a bit. There is a trade every day at 16.35 and depending on whether it is a buy or sell it normally goes in that direction the next day - weird.Also the company were not as positive on trading in their last statement so it has drifted down.
