06/6/2019 13:22 | any news on the horizon that could pump us back up to the 970's? | ojh2kent
05/6/2019 08:06 | up we go again. Crazy rollercoaster share | ojh2kent
31/5/2019 10:41 | up and down like a yo yo this share | ojh2kent
21/5/2019 08:50 | Quite possibly - in fact almost certainly - but it will also be a strong psychological resistance zone. Many pi's will probably have it as a target, leading to a rash of sales as soon as it arrives, coupled with buying resistance above £10. I would therefore expect it to bounce off the ceiling for some time - unless of course results are truly stupendous. A typical date for the Preliminary figures would be 16th October with a possible further trading update around late July which is their financial year end - especially if trading and cash are other than close to forecast. | boadicea
21/5/2019 07:55 | is £10 on the cards? When is the full year result? | ojh2kent
20/5/2019 10:08 | Fantastic share this. | trickyricky
20/5/2019 07:02 | Update quote - "The Board is therefore confident that full year results will now be slightly ahead of previous expectations." | boadicea
01/5/2019 17:29 | I have worked similar figures as Valhamos for operating margins with slightly different results (e.g. they depend on whether one is using statutory or 'adjusted' values - both have their faults) and also whether updating for half year results. SCT produced ptp of 68M from revenue of 797M, 8.54% CCC produced ptp of 119M from revenue of 4350M, 2.74% .... so on that metric SCT is more than 3 times as profitable as CCC. It might be argued that CCC has correspondingly more room for improvement and might be bought on those grounds, while SCT is already very efficient and will be limited in ability to push margins much further. I don't know enough about either company to pass judgement on that. SCT does have a very good growth rate but will need to maintain it and the margins to justify its current valuation. | boadicea
01/5/2019 16:41 | Take a look at EPS and CCC wins. | devonwood
01/5/2019 16:24 | I hold neither at the moment but there is no doubt which is the better company. According to Sharelockholmes SCT's ROIC is 243% compared with CCC's 28%. SCT's operating margin is 6.5% compared with CCC's 2.5%. | valhamos
01/5/2019 13:42 | DevonWood (450) - I think the difference is more or less justified by their different growth rates and balance sheets and possibly risk factors too. In particular compare their net debt figures. SCT looks an unusually clean and understandable operation which may appeal to the less sophisticated investor. Something is clearly giving it a premium rating and is causing me mild regret at having top-sliced it prematurely a couple of times. Overpriced (SCT) or a bargain (CCC) - only time will tell! | boadicea
29/4/2019 10:53 | Compare the EPS to CCC. SCT overpriced or CCC a bargain! | devonwood
28/3/2019 18:16 | Looks like share price still in the rising channel but only just | mfhmfh
19/3/2019 19:45 | high volume with nice rise | mfhmfh
19/3/2019 11:18 | Great results IMO: 'The results reflect the Company's continued ability to gain an increasing share of the market, delivering both very strong profit growth and excellent cash generation.' Operating profit up 40.4% Interim dividend up 36.4% Diluted EPS up 40.8% 'Added 620 new customers, with total customers up 6.5% (H1 2018: 597 / 6.7%)' 'Gross profit per customer growth of 18.7% (H1 2018: 14.5%)' 'The Company remains debt free with a cash balance of £52.8m' | mfhmfh
19/3/2019 08:34 | Then again - what do I know! | smokybenchod
19/3/2019 08:25 | Great results and market reaction! I particularly like the fact they only have 6 per cent of the market. | trickyricky
19/3/2019 07:54 | Excellent numbers although I suspect market will focus on outlook which has now gone from materially ahead to marginally ahead of expectations | smokybenchod
18/3/2019 14:50 | 50 day MA about to cross 200 day MA. rising prior to results tomorrow. | mfhmfh
15/3/2019 19:02 | You could be right there Trickyricky. I've been caught out quite a bit with some of my portfolio recently when trading updates have been announced, expecting big rises on good results only to be disappointed. However, as you say there is the possibility the results could be exceptional in which case I wouldn't rule out another significant spike in the share price. All will be revealed next week but whatever happens it's been quite a ride over the last couple of months! | sigod
15/3/2019 14:33 | Great rise from the recent lows. Given this, would not be surprised that it falls back on results, no matter how good they may be. | trickyricky
14/3/2019 17:44 | Now through 800 and looking really strong. Trading update was published on 9th January to cover the period up to the end of January so no reason to believe the results won't be anything but positive. Very tempted to load up on a few more. Good luck for next week everyone! | sigod |
