You can currently buy up to 250k for 9.02p and sell some of them at least for over that price!

They chose to borrow to expand and not issue new shares, presumably the lenders are convinced by the business model? Landing a sizeable local authority contract would provide a visible long term income stream. I get the impression that many small holders are throwing in the towel as the waiting drags on.

With a little regret I sold my entire holding yesterday, wary of markets also. Rather worryingly the trade took nearly 30 minutes to expedite.

What really forced the issue was the unexpected comment that ZZZ would not be EBITDA positive this year (Edison, who have been spot on to date, forecast they would be) and the small drop in the bid which may suggest that the entity buying the loose stock may disappear or pay less, if so where is the support?

Clearly the model is taking a longer to move to profit than expected, 2016 will not be as profitable as forecast and who knows if this BOD will decide to move into overseas markets which would further delay profits.

No doubt a bid will come in shortly now I am out !!

There could be a significant deal via Mears to create a lot of temporary managed housing for local authorities. There may also be the possibility of franchising the brand in Europe and the USA. The new management seem to have a better grasp of efficiencies than the previous crew, and also a vision of where they want to be and how to get there. The sales are being mopped up though no new holding thresholds appear to have been crossed.

Still a long way to go in term so driving top line revenue to reach break even, given the high central fixed costs. My reckoning is they need to at least triple revenue from the current run rate. Can't see that happening with the room growth projection. It looks like they might succeed in maybe doubling revenue next year? They do seem to have enough cash for the rest of this year and next though.

Isn't it fairly obvious from the holding RNSs? Kestrel have been accumulating.

The plan seems to be coming together. The 'brand' is becoming recognised for events and the semi permanent locations appear on track to deploy old stock rooms. I hate to see central overheads growing though, although I accept that there had to be extra marketing costs. I notice The Telegraph also had a snippet about ZZZ today, also not very upbeat, did they source the item from the same place as The Times? Looks to me like the new managers are walking the talk. Now a recognisable brand at events for high income units and, a very promising growth sector in semi permanent accommodation, for industrial and local authority temporary housing. The price action continues to suggest that someone is happy to continue to collect loose stock at the current level. As the business continues to carry out its plan I see no reason to sell just now.

Bill 182 What do you make of the results? Still very much jam tomorrow? Going up strongly but from a low base? Good cash position but needs to invest in expansion. Shares are unmoved so far so neither good nor bad is what Mr MARKET is saying

Edison had FY forecasts of £9.3m turnover for 2015 ramping up to £15.4m for 2016 turning a PBT, of £2.8m

Around 25% of turnover comes in H1 so looking for circa £2.3m today

The company says it has been 'very busy' and certainly the brand name has added value, still think someone is going to bid hence the buyer of loose stock that has been operating for months on end. Very few retail investors remain in this stock IMO.

Has The Times got a heads up on the results or has today's article been planted to assist a bidder? The headline seems dramatic but implying the shares have sunk to 9.875p recently is nonsense, they have been trading at this level for most of the year.

Not long to wait.

Certainly someone has the flypaper out at 9.75p You could be right, and the results will see this buyer show their hand.

Results next week should demonstrate that demand for the brand is growing significantly.

According to Edison ZZZ will enter a major growth phase in H1 2016.

Ideal time for a takeover or MBO!

Some entity is plainly picking up loose stock but no holding announcement has been made, so is it a concert party spreading the shares over different but connected holders? This is an attractive business that has already established a 'brand' which operates in two quite separate markets. One is up market hospitality in the field, and the other is industrial lodgings with possibly an extension into short term public emergency housing. (remember how long that 'temporary' post war pre-fab housing lasted). Two businesses that would suit different types of owner/operator. The board are not being forthcoming about what is going on, they must be aware that the shares are being soaked up by somebody, and possibly know who it is?

think you are being rather optimistic. Hope you are right though.

My take is that they are not making much if any money but are very busy.

Anyone think Mears Group will bid for ZZZ, anyone read their report today, they were very pleased with their last acquisition and, guess what, it was for £20m. More or less exactly what ZZZ is valued at currently.

Hands up who thinks the BOD are deliberately with-holding news, no trading update and that pathetic last RNS re results and being 'very busy' Now compare that to last years comprehensive trading update and make a judgement.

Add to the mix someone has been gobbling up any loose stock hitting the market, the ever diminishing free float, the failure to deliver, as promised, further news on the Mears Group tie up etc etc etc.

Now when will the bidder show their hand I wonder???

Any minority investors will have to be bought out at a fair premium IMO.

This is my personal view of events of course!

Quote from above article - They have a total of 578 separate rooms that they put up at events like Glastonbury Festival, the Edinburgh Fringe and the British Grand Prix, as well as major construction sites like Nigg on Scotland’s east coast and even the Falkland Islands.
