I was one of the muppets who thought the market was oversold,picked the bottom and got dirty fingers as they say ! Timing is everything,should be O.K.now and not be down overall much on the week or a little up but the profits I've missed ..........

Jeroo,
Just back in and yes long TSCO ( reduced holding from yesterday though !!) and noticed the price rise. Almost beak even now apart from yesterday's losses.
Your position must be looking more healthy now too.

German Business Confidence Declines in September (Update2)

Frankfurt, Sept. 25 (Bloomberg) -- German business confidence declined for a fourth month in September as the recovery in Europe's largest economy falters, a survey of 7,000 executives showed.

The Ifo institute's index of western German business confidence dropped to 88.2, the lowest level in eight months, from 88.8 in August. Economists forecast a reading of 88.

Exports, retail sales and factory orders fell in July. The ZDH association of small and mid-sized companies has said it sees 200,000 jobs lost this year. Germany's DAX, the world's second- worst performing benchmark stock index this quarter, dropped to its lowest level in almost six years yesterday.

``The economy is pretty much stagnating,'' Wolfgang Neuberger, chief executive officer of Biolitec AG, a maker of medical lasers and optical fibers, said in an interview.

Unemployment has risen for 19 of the past 20 months. Bayer AG is eliminating 15,000 jobs in the next four years as Europe's No. 3 chemical maker posts declining profits. Siemens AG, the country's biggest manufacturer, has shed more than 42,000 jobs in two years.

Chancellor Gerhard Schroeder was re-elected on Sunday after shifting his campaign away from sputtering growth by opposing an attack on Iraq. He's facing a stalled economy, analysts say.

``Businesses are worried that much-needed reforms will be delayed or won't come at all,'' said Klaus-Peter Mueller, chief executive officer of Commerzbank AG.

An index gauging expectations of future business conditions declined to 99.3 in September, from 100.7 the previous month. Economists had forecast a decline to 99.8.
