Decent day - first of the week. Paring back the BARC loss nicely, especially with AVZ ahort. Unfortunately missed opportunities on BARC, VOD and BSY, but well done forwood for catching them!!

Remain short ARM CFD and small AZN S/B, which is currently -50!! More than covered that with FTSE short however.

Will see the night owls later no doubt.

yes I think so, keith95 posted some bad info he got on us on thus thread, I looked at vod because its the volume leader etc, big big imbalence suddenly on yellow strip 10:1, so I went short. Mistake i made was to close too early.

Memo to paulismyname: in telecom stocks bad news sucks, good news is ignored

Random - agreed - why post a price if theyr'e going to keep us hanging on to see which way its blowing-I can do that-been at least .25p out loads today-have to trade tidgy lots to go unnoticed but theyr'e still screwing us-time to bring in the watchdog

Time traveller - Vod caught me completely on the hop! I went long at 83.5 and seconds later it was travelling down towards 81p I must say I got really worried when 78.25 appeared on my screen. Managed to buy more at 79.75, then sold half at 82, so I'm in the money and still long 81.625. Gulp!

edit: Do you know what brought on that round of quick fire selling?

VOD never hit its suupport properly at 79 the last time. Firmly hit it this time...if its gets to 79 again in the next few days it should go through.

I bet each subsequent rally off 79 is to a lower peak
Still many short at 90...happy to wait, and sell into strength like today

It's bounced back well from its low. Managed to buy in @ 80.75 having waited for it to fall back lower - it just kept on rising and L2 is looking much more healthy now.

its always easier said that done but lots of people speciliaze in just a few shares
if ur trading vod seriously- u gert a feal 4 it-obviously u have to consider dailt futures, nesw from vod and others mobile operators, the level of the market to judge different entry points as long as u see every day differently what works today may be different 4 tommorow-obvious i know but patience is key-there are alays two great trades a week -lloys was yesterday-i didnt do it i know but i do trade actively but i wont trade when u r getting new lows except when the market is down say 200etc-i want big extremes lloy was but iw nted 420 didnt get it- so i didnt buy it-iam quite happy to b disciplined because there are always a few blinders every week -over trade opportunity cost is often great and u never fufil ur potential- i think forwood has the wright idea -he is could b a top dog but he over trades so he is an average one but he has the wright ideas but u need something where u say iam going to make loads out of this not just a couple of percent-its alll about how far teh averages are on your side
