17/8/2018 18:17 | I don't want to sell for less than £40, to paraphrase Rupe if memory serves. I would be happy to keep the shares whatever the share price does if the TO doesn't happen. If my shares get compulsory purchased it's beyond my control. No-brainer. | nerdlinger
17/8/2018 17:22 | It is a no brainer. | bouleversee
17/8/2018 17:15 | Appreciating all comments here. I am still however somewhat puzzled by it. My broker has given me 3 options for 5pm Monday: 1. Sell £14.00 2. Sell £14.75 3. Don't sell, noting price £15.32 now and could go higher. I called and they said no brainer - do not sell. So seems like bird in the hand or a bigger bird if you wait. What am.I missing? Thanks. | joh4
17/8/2018 12:39 | Thank you. Very helpful | margjowood
17/8/2018 11:30 | hxxps://www.hl.co.uk A quick google search,(selling certificated shares)found this above, might not be the cheapest, but reliable company. Research further. This is if you want to sell now at the higher price which is now on offer, The higher price on offer is due to Finical Institutions believing that the price to buy will go higher due to competition between the companies involved. Alternative is wait and let the system decide and they will write to you again. The final offer may be higher or lower than the current price. | exon
17/8/2018 11:25 | As I understand it, once any offer becomes unconditional you will still have a limited window in which to accept that offer even if the original date has passed. | bouleversee
17/8/2018 11:17 | you should get at least the £14.75 from Comcast, if it prevails. If Fox/Disney increases its offer in September, you should get more when it completes. | rogthepodge
17/8/2018 11:01 | Thank you . Don't have a broker though so got to do something myself and I'm no expert! | margjowood
17/8/2018 10:45 | As I see it as a holder, but no expert. If Comcast gain full control, your broker will be required to sell to them at least £14.75, in certificated form you will be required to sell at the same price. If Fox gain full control, your broker will be required to sell to them at least £14.00, in certificated form you will be required to sell at the same price. if one of them is happy and somehow gets a majority stake - keep your shares. But the game is not over yet. Fox/Disney are being very clever, with their latest ploy. Happy to be corrected, still looking for answers myself. | exon
17/8/2018 10:19 | I would like to know the same! | margjowood
17/8/2018 09:40 | Forgive me if I've posted in the wrong place - What happens to my SKY shares if I decide not to sell to comcast by 22nd August or fox by September Thanks | dystopian
17/8/2018 06:08 | Rogthepodge, think JackKnife was helping me to understand the principle of the concert party with those articles. | exon
16/8/2018 22:23 | JakNife why are you posting old online news articles? we probably won't see how Fox/Disney plays its cards 'til later in September | rogthepodge
16/8/2018 13:59 | Ball Deap - What was that you were saying? | bouleversee
16/8/2018 12:42 | Thanks. Is this possible action called a concert party? or similar. perhaps Fox/Disney are willing/hoping to acquire Sky within the price range which appears to be being maintained by these intermediaries. | exon
16/8/2018 12:06 | I suppose they could then offer the rest of us an even lower offer. They are probably mopping up the shares of any of us who sell now. | bouleversee
16/8/2018 11:24 | Is it possible, indeed can they, or would it make any sense to, for Fox/Disney to be delaying the process so that they can try to acquire the 12% through intermediaries on the open market at the £1520-£1 | exon
15/8/2018 10:18 | Keep buying imminent multi multi bag coming soon !!! | ball deap
15/8/2018 09:15 | My understanding is you can sell in market for more than Comcast is offering, or wait til September to see if Disney offers more. | rogthepodge
14/8/2018 15:54 | Thanks for all the advice on this thread, can anyone tell me who would be the best company to sell my shares to outside of CC or 21C as well as how much commission they would charge. | dannydanny2
14/8/2018 13:46 | Thank you. Does the 22nd Aug deadline still hold for Comcast offer? I am bewildered as Sky lower offer has until 17th Sept to accept. Very confusing foe a novice like me! | margjowood
14/8/2018 13:21 | there is no clear answer. It is possible that Disney/Fox will let Comcast have 61% and then trade these shares for other interests. Sky would then probably fall below the 14.75 level. This is a risk. But I think Disney/Fox will pay more, personally. | rogthepodge
14/8/2018 13:06 | I know nothing really about shares. Dies this mean hang on to them and sell after LSE auction? Really appreciate advice | margjowood |
