14/8/2018 12:54 | Agree Believe Disney need 100% but so do Comcast? It will go to an LSE auction - only second time in history! | hades1
14/8/2018 09:54 | No advice, but Murdoch/Fox/Disney MIGHT want 100% of 'jewel' in the crown of 21CF Substantial route into European market. To achieve scale to take on Netflix et al. | rogthepodge
14/8/2018 09:18 | What's the latest advice please? Ignore Comcast offer and ghang on to shares for now? | margjowood
14/8/2018 09:11 | Murdoch has already sold his 39% stake owned via Fox to Disney. The offer here is for the remaining 61% listed in the UK. Nothing to do with Mr Murdoch | hades1
14/8/2018 08:09 | Ball Deap - So that's why the share price is rocketing! | bouleversee
14/8/2018 06:54 | @ rogthepodge Indeed, an all cash deal gives the Murdochs a huge tax bill, Disney's share offer is much better for them - even at a lower price. | n0rbie
13/8/2018 09:01 | Guys good news, every mosque in England is talking about sky, it is about to super multi bag!!! Get as much money as you can into it ! !!! | ball deap
09/8/2018 22:24 | I think the Murdochs would like to have some Disney shares, to keep their hand in the game. Additionally, the regulatory hurdles have been mainly overcome already re: Disney. Maybe not quite as guaranteed and simple with Comcast, and all cash? | rogthepodge
09/8/2018 21:06 | Thank you . I understand more now. Always the option to sell privately or hang on and see how things develop. | margjowood
09/8/2018 20:42 | Very true. Yet Comcast offer recommended by Sky independent committee, Barclays and Morgan Stanley. Something in it for them perhaps? | margjowood
09/8/2018 17:44 | Just continue sitting and watching developments. Nobody with any sense would have accepted the earlier offer with everything still in the melting pot. Whether one should sell in the market at a price much higher than either is another matter. | bouleversee

09/8/2018 17:33 | Still sitting on mine too . Deadline for Comcast 22nd Aug . Fox deadline is 17th Sept. Lower offer. Totally confused! | margjowood
09/8/2018 17:13 | Surely if you have signed & returned the Comcast, you are bound to it. I'm still sitting on mine. | stevesold
09/8/2018 16:44 | Thanks for the advice. Will hang on and keep following. | margjowood
09/8/2018 16:14 | So what if you have already posted off your Sky share certificate to Comcast to accept their offer? I haven't but don't know what to do now. Seems daft to accept Fox's lower offer but don't want to miss out. Any advice welcome! | margjowood
09/8/2018 15:45 | I suppose it helps keep printers & the legal profession employed. | stevesold
09/8/2018 15:35 | It seems a ridiculous waste of time and money, doesn't it? So far as I can gather, they have to go through this process in order to play for extra time to consider/make a final offer, probably too late for Comcast to better. In the meantime, Sky have applied for 1,500,000 additional shares to be listed for distribution to employees under LTIPs and other option schemes. Nice work if you can get it. | bouleversee
09/8/2018 15:08 | So have just received the 21C offer @£14, so why would that be welcomed, when there is a £14.75 on the table. Need help with this. | stevesold
09/8/2018 09:23 | Believe this will now be decided by LSE auction after 22nd Sept.In meantime Disney will educate their investors as to the importance of securing Sky to their future. | hades1 |
