Comcast cannot compete with Disney's raised offer for 21CF, it's unlikely they will be coming back with a higher offer for Sky IMO

also speculation that Comcast might go for a knockout all cash bid, to disuade Disney from coming back. Hopefully it will, and Disney WILL come back!

Speculation is that 21C Fox might go for a knock out bid to speed the takeover process up.That's likely to be higher c1500p

21st Century Fox offer dated 15-Dec-2016 £10.75 cash
Comcast offer dated 25-Apr-2018 £12.50 cash

In an analyst call this week 21CF said it was considering its options with “a further announcement to be made in due course”. Expectation (= hedge fund purchases) is that 21CF will increase its offer once final CMA report published which should be any day now (unless deadline extended). Assume 21CF higher bid would need to be at least 10% higher than Comcast = £13.75 (a quick look shows recent hedge funds purchases at £13.55).

Only if they want it badly enough and think it's worth more.

In a mad moment yesterday I sold some of mine @ £13.57 and added to PFC @ £5.97, securing their 18p dividend. It remains to be seen whether that was a wise decision and which will have gone up most by the time any bid for Sky is settled which could be quite some time hence. Fingers crossed. Having kept half, however, I'm doing a bit of hedging myself. Am getting a bit crafty in my old age.

Counter bid not really expected until Government makes final decision - May? Plus Comcast have not made a formal bid anyway yet. But I expect a bidding war to break before summer taking us to £15+++
