Not too many other O&G companies have been fortunate to have recently built their entire model around low oil prices. I’m again minded of a conversation with a Director when Brent was $30’s/bbl. He commented that low prices, whilst challenging, provided an opportunity for us to lock-in lower costs and bullet proof our economics so we’d enjoy the upside when oil prices rose again. He said ‘The beauty of making something work at this level is it should be incredibly profitable at $60 and beyond’.
