Only in your opinion htrocka, it could just as easily be a quickly worded statement that he didn't think needed wording so accurately.

(who ever gave me a red thumb has missed the point...bobo talks of hydrocarbons Chris Shea only talks of oil......the two members of the consortium are not singing from the same hymn sheet....not a good sign)

Plenty are Doug. Way I see it and why I never really say a lot here is because all we do is try and guess what the hell is going on. Rampers say one thing de rampers say another. Then BOD say something else, be that plans, timelines or what ever and then they never materialise anyway. Leaving everyone making new guesses again, least that's the way it seems to have been for me for the last two or three years

Surely the rig story is a smoke screen ?
Isn't the real issue whether or not we will be here in one year waiting for bureaucracy to be sorted/agreed for sell off ?

I thought I'd stick my two penneth in....

Chris Shea of COSL doesn't mention gas....and as some have classified ORORO as a gas field as opposed to an oil field with the intention of drilling a further 250m deeper....maybe it's just a simple case of allowing for the unknown and revamping the rig strategy to allow for increased pressures that originally came from data 41 years old....therefore possibly contemplating upgrading COSLPower to a larger rig?(my opinion only)

'Some wells along the continental margin of West Africa have had to set total depth prior to reaching all their expected targets due to these extensive pressure transition zones..

Bobo Kuti, CEO of Sirius, commented:

"We are delighted to have secured this highly competitive, vendor financed rig contract with COSL, one of the world's leading oilfield service companies. This innovative financing solution affirms our belief in the quality of the Ororo field and our confidence in achieving first hydrocarbons in H1 2017. We look forward to working with COSL and our other project partners to commence the development of our interests in Nigeria."

Chris Shea, Group Director of Marketing of COSL, commented:

"We are excited to work in collaboration with Sirius Petroleum to enable the Company to reach first oil. It is important for oil service providers and operators to pool their resources and strengths making operations more efficient and cost effective thereby creating value for both parties."

(I can imagine Chris Shea scratching his head and saying...gas, what gas, no one said any this to us about gas?)

6cer if you google "COSL Power location" you will get Rigzone saying "en route", Infield reporting "stacked". In short, no one knows.

However no one has solved the mystery of the missing oil rig - is there a Sherlock Holmes amongst you?

Interesting to note that the market maker, Nomura, has now disposed of all 50m Sirius shares it was holding. Someone has picked them up, otherwise a flood of shares onto an open market would have resulted in share price heading back towards 1p.
