Thanks again vatnabrekk. One day, hopefully, the damn thing will shift.
Wonder why Rigzone keep changing the their mind, one minute ready stacked the next en route to Nigeria. Ho hum.

Astra: I've picked up the Teal on AIS just NW of Cape Town at 17:15 our time, doing 14.7kts. That's faster than she was going before. I really can't see her doing that speed carrying a rig, but I might be wrong. If she keeps up that speed she would be in Rotterdam on 24th Aug. against her stated ETA of 27th Aug. So that's three days to call along Nigeria, but I don't believe that!

The ETA of 27th was set when she started the journey.

astra: "Caspian Sea" is the name of the offshore installation near to Labuan. It's not a sea, just a rig!
Nothing to do with THE Caspian Sea.

ps, geography question:
Are there 2 'Caspian Seas' as the only one I know is land-locked and a long way from Labuan!

Although to be fair the ETA is only calculated from the current speed, so it will always fit in, no matter what.
I don't know if there is anything in it, but current position for Teal has it somewhere around cape Town, have you a more up to date one vatnabrekk?
This one is dated 07/08

This is all very exciting stuff, but I hate to pour cold water on the idea that it might call along Nigeria on the way to Rotterdam.
First, my detective work tells me that Teal didn't go from Singapore to Labuan, it went to the Caspian Sea Offshore installation which is close to Labuan. From there it set course for Rotterdam. It is now just past Cape Horn, heading too far west to be heading for Nigeria. And not enough time to call along Nigeria, because it's ETA Rotterdam is 27th August, which works in exactly with it's current speed.

So sorry to disappoint!

Further post from the LSE board re the missing rig.

From all accounts, Teal went to Labuan, where COSL Power was ready stacked. COSL Power was then in Singapore. Now Rigzone gives COSL Power as en-route to Nigeria. The mobilisation dates (ie moving dates) are 20th July to 14th August. As from 15th August COSL is under contract for SRSP. these dates can be subject to change, as we've seen before, but it looks very likely things are happening. Teal is one of the few vessels in the Singapore area capable of taking COSL Power to Nigeria. What seems more likely, that Teal went to Labuan, then back to Singapore and now is heading to Rotterdam, which just happens to pass Nigeria, with not a sausage on board. It all fits in.
That does not mean it is all 100% nailed on, but, imo, the odds favour it. It is not hard to change the destination. dyor.

Aventador, there may be no news yet but there are buyers and the price is creeping up. Can't be long you would think.

"Teal is heading for Rotterdam, so nothing to do with COSLPower, unfortunately!"

Would it be too much to hope it may be dropping our rig off on the way. Just hoping really. I took the link off the LSE board
