31/7/2017 08:37 | Sometimes better off without news gives us more speculation and rises generally after news it drops back as it's not news that ever has any real conclusion behind it. 30/7/2017 12:56 | O/T... (but worth a read)...(cut and pasted from another site) (Chevron had a good year at $50 a barrel) Financial Times, Weekend 29-30 July 2017 Page10-"Companies & Markets" Leading article:" Exxon, Chevron & ENI raise hope for oil sector recovery." Sub-headline:" Profits rebound after downturn. Relief that INDUSTRY *WORKS AT $50 A BARREL*." Quote: "Sharply increased profits from Exxon Mobil & Chevron yesterday added to SIGNS that the world*s biggest oil and gas co*s are gradually recovering from the deep downturn of the past 3 years." "Lydia Rainforth, analyst at Barclays, said the earnings offered assurance to OIL INVESTORS that *the sector WORKS at $50 per barrel* referring the level around which crude price have yo-yoed this year." "All the oil majors have reported this week generated enough CASH to cover DIVIDENDS and PAY DOWN D E B T. This represents a turnround from the past TWO YEARS, when most of them piled ON DEBT to maintain their payouts to shareholders." "Darren Woods, chief executive of Exxon Mobil, faces a BALANCING ACT as he seeks to ASSUAGE INVESTOR CONCERNS over the group*s sluggish g r o w t h prospects while maintaining CAPITAL DISCIPLINE." "BILLIONS of dollars have been COMMITTED to ExxonMobil*s giant Liza oil discovery off the coast off the coast GUYANA, and the group is also expanding its presence in the most prolific shale oil resources of the Permain Basin in Texas and New Mexico." "However, C A P E X reaches just $8.1 BILLION in the 1st half of the yr, well short of half the full year GUIDANCE OF $22 BILLION showing SPENDING remains under tight control." "Exxon Mobil*s earning of $3.35 billion or 78 cents a share, fell below the average 84 cents forecast by analysts, causing the stock to drop more than 2% yesterday morning in New York." "Chevron*s $1.5 billion profit -compared to $1.5 billion loss a year ago-was better received." from Chevron Results 'Through our principal subsidiary in Nigeria, Chevron Nigeria Ltd., we operate and hold a 40 percent interest in 13 concessions under a joint-venture arrangement with the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC).' Personal comment....No doubt Chevron are very grateful to the Niger Delta for their turn-a-round) | ![]() htrocka2
30/7/2017 12:54 | Europe’s oil giants recover from three-year slump Europe’s major oil and gas companies have turned a corner after a three-year slump, reporting strong growth in profits as cost cutting paid off and vowing to press on with saving more money amid a fragile recovery in oil prices. hxxp://sunnewsonline | stbilow
30/7/2017 12:08 | Ironically, when oil was trading at $27 a barrel in early 2016, it was BP who predicted that oil would stabilise at around the $50 to $60 mark over the following three years.....it looks as if they got that bit right. (press the 5y icon below the chart) | ![]() htrocka2

30/7/2017 09:30 | The cost of production has been estimated at $27 a barrel at full flow of 10300bope. However,....this is a figure that seems to be in line with Government estimates hence probably issued by the State itself. The point being that this estimate was given long before the part 'Offtake' system of project finance was put in place. Currently we could have a double whammy on the horizon in that costs could be reduced to below the $27 per barrel production target and the price of oil is above $52 a barrel. The Government's new $10 production target strategy may well be based on the 'Offtake' concept....introduce ($52 poo price minus $10 production costs.....that's serious (Sirius) money) | ![]() htrocka2

29/7/2017 22:45 | cheers qprallan......all we need now is a photo of CoslPower in the Ororo field....and Boom.(as we already know the oil is down there). Now there's talk on the UKOG boards that if the drill results come up trumps....BP might give them a look.....(they're already talking to us here and presumably like what they see...ps like UKOG a 10p spike would be appreciated here....especially if the BoD could issue an rns with a reference to a 'billion barrels' in a subsidiary which we know they have an interest in... some where in the note) As one poster stated, when UKOG spiked to 11p last week oil was at $47 a barrel...it's now $52+.a barrel....and we have 50% less shares in issue. | ![]() htrocka2
29/7/2017 21:56 | ht - If this is it, it was UKOG who tweeted it: | ![]() qprallan
29/7/2017 21:03 | O/T I did a bit of 'trawling' on UKOG...'ShareTalk' said that some one, about two weeks ago, posted, on Twitter, a photograph of an oil bearing core sample from its latest drill operation either with or without the company's permission. Both the Nomads and MM's complained as they were unaware of the existence of the photo, hence it's permission to be released and said they lost control of the share price as a result. The company later had to issue an rns with some details of the core. | ![]() htrocka2

29/7/2017 19:00 | probably famous last words but thursdays / fridays rise did not feel like a pump and dump. if we are going to be hearing about drilling within say next 2 months then at some point a rise in the share price has to happen. also i would have thought that if it was a pump thursday for a 16% rise then surely we would have had a friday dump. if we could get to 1.50 next week then that would set us up nice for some news flow and reaching 2p. if we can get a positive flow of news flow with further assets revealed then hopefully this will more then mirror that ukog rapid rise the other day. sherlock made a good point when he said that 1.3p might look very cheap in a few weeks, hope that is the case | ![]() deadly nightshade |
