Let's say it is Lynchwood client Emmef 150m bought at 3.75p, sold at 0.75p. Rack up a 4.5 million quid loss on the nominee ac. no 1
Transfer the whole lot over to a different No. 2 ac by buying the 150m back at 0.7p. Wait for 3.7p and hey ho we have recovered our £4.5m.

No point surely, as the gain is zero.

However, Ac 1 now has a 2016-17 £4.5m loss to set against tax. Cute little offsetting arrangement. Emmef is one of Corvus' subsidiaries, quel surpris

Famous Example

In 2016, leading into the presidential vote the New York Times released Donald Trump's 1995 tax return. Trump, who had stubbornly refused to release his tax records during the race reported a loss of $916 million in 1995, which he was able to carryforward. The losses were on realized capital losses from investments in casino's, airline business ventures and Manhattan property. The Times reported that this loss would allow him to avoid federal tax of $50 million for up to 18 years.

Bit strange i just tried a dummy sell for a few grands worth and the mm's still don't want shares so lets not get too carried away folks could be another false dawn. as for the 1 share buy i have seen that theory wrong more times then right. even so fingers crossed 6% is still a good rise so far

yes drrichard thats for sure mate, remember the good old days of a 50% spread here and massive percentage falls on a few hundred shares sold, something has changed bigtime the past 3 weeks trading in this share its took on a whole new pattern. ask yourself this if folk were selling out by the millions would the mm's be offering a 1.39% spread to help thee sellers???

1.39% spread has anyone seen a lower spread in the history of this share??? if it goes under 1% it will be like the bid/ask of a ftse share. something is unfolding here with a spread like this
