22/1/2019 10:43 | Reading the RNS it sounds distinctly similar to the way forward for financing that I was suggesting last Summer, and before that, iirc. My suggestion was get $1b last Summer by rights issue and / or placing with other mining related company, which should be enough to get them past the highest risk part of at least one of the shafts, and should also get them past most of the highest interface risks, after which banks and gov would fall over themselves to provide the rest of the cash. Obviously they would need to progress at least one of the main shafts into the poly seam, both launching shafts for the TBMs down, and at least the first TBM would need to be operating successfully by the time the coffers were running low.
