19/1/2019 01:13 | Where did you see that Smokie? According to the Daily Mail the only large transaction after 4pm was a sell order of over 800K shares. | lionheart69uk1

18/1/2019 11:14 | Ignore Professor 😂 😂 😂 Pettigrew, he just lost, by his own admission, £250,000 on 8pg(formerly LEG). Mind you he lied about his trades all along, even got caught red-handed claiming a trade was his when it most certainly wasn’t. He’s going to ruin this thread just like he ruins every thread on which he posts. | michaelsadvfn
18/1/2019 09:56 | Prof Pettigrew, "Could even be that the government will underwrite the whole thing" -------------------- Or even more likely than that, the cleaner at Sirius HQ will win over $2 billion on the Spanish El Gordo and the US Powerball lotteries and fund the banks share of the costs and the $4-600m overspend and join with the Government on a partnership basis! Let's at least pretend to keep the possibilities real please! NMRN | not my real name

17/1/2019 22:38 | Anyone's guess on that beeezzz - but I reckon it's odds-on the government will come up with their bit, they won't want to be seen not backing a "Northern Powerhouse" company. May & Co have made a complete balls-up of Brexit, so will look to redeem themselves in some respect. Could even be that the government will underwrite the whole thing, giving themselves some good publicity regarding industry (and the North), and doing Sirius a massive favour to boot. Very interesting times lie ahead here in my view. | professor pettigrew
17/1/2019 22:15 | So are we going to see the financing before brexit or after, that is if it happens at all. | beeezzz
17/1/2019 20:51 | You'll have no problem with me mr oz - just comment on the prospects for Sirius - and information when and if I can locate it. I'll leave the nonsense to the trolls. And on that, you have my word. Enough said. | professor pettigrew
17/1/2019 20:14 | Children, please.. | mr.oz
17/1/2019 20:03 | I see the trolls are having their five minutes in the sun. They come out of the woodwork, pick on someone then plead innocence. Just ignore them all. I will post when and where and what I like. And won't be guided by some peasant who can't even afford a "blue" subscription. | professor pettigrew

17/1/2019 07:18 | 14:45 16 Jan 2019 Theresa May confirms Sirius Minerals financing discussions Sirius wants to enter into a partnership with the UK government in the form of a Treasury guarantee, which would see the government underwrite US$2bn of project loans Theresa May has confirmed that the government is in discussions with Sirius Minerals PLC (LON:SXX) about providing financial backing to the latter’s hugely ambitious £4bn fertiliser project near Whitby. Sirius is currently in the process of raising the final US$3.5bn it needs to complete development of the Woodsmith mine, which is scheduled to achieve first production by the end of 2021. WATCH: Theresa May speaks about Sirius Minerals in PMQs The FTSE 250 group has previously said that a Treasury guarantee, which would see the government underwrite US$2bn of project loans, was “essential&rdq Speaking at Prime Minster’s Questions, May said: “I was particularly pleased to meet the CEO of Sirius during my trip to China and talk to them about the work they are doing. “In relation to the particular discussions … these are commercially sensitive so it would be inappropriate for me to comment on the specific discussions, but this is exactly the sort of project that is what the Northern Powerhouse is all about: driving investment, driving exports, good for the north.” Sirius Minerals shares reversed their earlier losses on the back of the PM’s comments and were up almost 1% to 22p in afternoon trading on Wednesday. City broker Liberum said it was “encouraging&r It added: “With procurement now complete for all the major construction projects to support stage 2 financing, the banks are now expected to come together to sign commitments letter, with the government’s approval to follow.” Not My Real Name 16 Jan '19 - 23:33 - 36259 of 36260 (Filtered) 11_percent 15 Jan '19 - 16:57 - 36242 of 36260 (Filtered) PPVN 16 Jan '19 - 12:42 - 36250 of 36260 (Filtered) | johnwise |
