21/10/2022 16:11 | This change of tack may well be the best option , there has been no major sell of today , so anything is possible here , company needs to come clean as previous statement was very positive without any improvement in share price , so does smell of something , lets hope its good news. | jotoha2
21/10/2022 15:57 | Jotoha2, the only deal that will make any sense to me is if the loans are paid up in full and some cash left in the bank as well. I cannot see how that can give the most valuable bit of the company - the intellectual property | wheeze
21/10/2022 14:39 | Wheeze - I agree I suspect we'll hear at COP | gepetto100
21/10/2022 14:31 | Imho, this deal could not have gone through without Guptas approval. Also how much is a minority stake in Proteus 49% ? I expect the RNS with details at close of play. | wheeze
21/10/2022 14:00 | The question in my mind TempestTroy is how much is all of this technology worth. It has taken many many years to develop at huge cost. They cannot sell it off for peanuts. The technology and know how must be worth tens of millions ? Current market cap 9 million - surely without knowing the numbers you can no longer value SAE - it could be worth ten times current share price ? Proteus was incorporated in July so this has been brewing for some time. | wheeze
21/10/2022 13:52 | I agree wheeze it is bizarre. Looks like SAE will still be responsible for all associated turbine Instillation & extraction costs... and we know just how costly & time consuming these can be. I guess the real benefit of the sale is that it will enable the board to concentrate on Meygen without the distraction of engineering? Time will tell if this is reflected in the share price. | tempesttroy
21/10/2022 13:44 | wheeze21 Oct '22 - 13:21 - 2759 of 2760 0 0 0 This is truly bizarre - how could a sale of this magnitude this not be RNSed ? You mean the sell off ? | boxerdogz
21/10/2022 13:29 | The way I see this deal is 1. Simec will no longer be a manufacturer but source their turbines from Proteus 2. THey will no longer have costs associated with maintaining the workforce of the engineering division 3. The main focus of Simec will be developing MeyGen and UKsmouth 4. He proceeds of this deal will be ploughed in to developing MeyGen which will generate electricity and revenue for Simec. This deal has been cooking for sometime, hence the price action. Current market cap 9 million. When will we see the numbers ? | wheeze
21/10/2022 13:21 | This is truly bizarre - how could a sale of this magnitude this not be RNSed ? | wheeze
21/10/2022 12:48 | Quote agree jotoha2. Any purchase or sale of consequence should be disclosed via a RNS. In this case, it probably wouldn't impact the share price per se despite it dropping by more than 10% as I write! | tempesttroy
21/10/2022 12:39 | So why no RNS to confirm , is this news not material to the share price ? | jotoha2
16/10/2022 10:06 | Did not take Hunt long to announce cuts in spending all round and no funding on expanding the economy , thats the Tories out long term , General election required asap. | jotoha2
15/10/2022 10:16 | On the flip side labour have already promised to invest Billions in green technology including Tidal , so they are the best bet for future UK investment here , no matter what your political views are , sooner the better . | jotoha2
15/10/2022 10:11 | Investment for tidal will come , mainly from Scotland who are determined to grow green technology while maintaining the O&G sector during a 10/15 years to transition , that is the way forward , Hunt will cut back on investments , that is his style. | jotoha2
15/10/2022 09:41 | What is even worse is that at least £6.2 Billion worth of contracts were given to friends of various Tory MOP and these contracts all failed on quality , and so far no monies have been recovered , smacks of greed and corruption in high places . No wonder the Tories are in trouble with the voters. | jotoha2
15/10/2022 06:18 | As this once great country teeters on the brink, let us reflect on what these morons did in government... Just one of many many sad examples of destroying wealth. How much was that investment in tidal energy again ? When will they wake up to the realisation that growth will only come when we stop paying through the nose for energy ? The private sector is not going to do this on their own. Government funding is essential for green energy. | wheeze
11/10/2022 15:46 | hxxps://aberdeenbusi | jotoha2
11/10/2022 14:59 | I see Ian Blackford had 15 min on channel 5 this morning saying that Tidal would be supported by the SNP to be the major investment in green power generation going forward , no nuclear investment in Scotland ever ! Now lets see the cash Ian ! | jotoha2
30/9/2022 12:20 | Nice recovery | dave4545 |
