I'm holding off in the hope of getting back in closer to the placing price - no idea why but prices often seem to revisit placing prices so hoping this one follows suit....

Such a solid company this, recent weakness appears unfounded and has created an opportunity imo.

Over a 15% fall from the September high, has prompted me to add a few more today.

During the course of October, Blackrock have increased their stake here by 33% - so far - from 9.38% at the 1st of this month to 12.47% by the 22nd, as reported today.

Over the period of 3 days spanning the trading statement Blackrock have bought approx 1.5% of SRC or £10m worth of shares yet the share price has declined over this period and the trading volumes have been less than £6m.

Not sure how this is achieved but maybe some posters have been closely involved with market makers and might explain.

Nevertheless there seem to be 2 conclusions

1 Blackrock is really keen on SRC
2 The mm's are encouraging weak holders to sell to supply Blackrock until the order is satisfied.

Coupled with the trading statement and deductions made by rampmeister I consider the target of 125p by Liberium to be very modest.

I know it’s not just about the numbers but Projected annual revenue for enlarged group is now 422.6m based on interim no’s with nil growth. So that’s 105.65m average over last 2 quarters. Latest enlarged group update shows quarter ended 30/9 at 73m with only 1month Nordkalk included. If you add 42.166m Nordkalk 2 months est. revenue we arrive at 115.167m which represents 9.51% growth over previous 2 quarters average. So enlarged group annual revenue becomes circa 460m excluding growth over next 3 quarters. If some growth is factored in for next 3 quarters, it’s possible that 500m can be achieved imv.

We also initiated a position in Sigmaroc, a specialist construction material company whose strategy is built around acquiring assets then improving and integrating them. We took the opportunity to invest as part of a large equity raise undertaken to fund the acquisition of Nordkalk at a valuation that represented a signicant discount to peers. Nordkalk is the leading limestone provider in Northern Europe with a presence in ten countries. This was a transformational acquisition which both increased the scale of the group as well as diversifying it geographically and by end market, taking the group away from pure construction exposure and into the paper and pulp, metals and chemicals, environmental and agricultural markets.

Rettig Group has undertaken not to dispose of the Consideration Shares for a period of 12 months from the date of Admission and for the following 12 month period, they will only dispose of their holdings through Peel Hunt LLP and Liberum Capital Limited.

Mr market is short term in UK.

Most acquisitions depress the buyers share price sometimes as low as the placing price.

I dont think the placing has a 12 month lock in clause so some placees will be grabbing a few bob. Not Blackrock though.

I am buying on weakness.

Market response seems muted and hasn’t yet bought into the transformational nature of Nordkalk acquisition so have to give it time to catch up with events. I’ve noticed with other large capital raises that share price takes a while to recover. Have added some more today.

All those trades at the Bid Price of 100p are actually Buys - I topped up at that price about half an hour ago and it is showing as a Sell.
