04/12/2008 07:15 | Henry Cameron, the 68-year-old Russophile who runs Sibir, characterises the transmogrification unveiled yesterday in the following manner. "Doing business in Russia has never been for the faint-hearted and sometimes requires difficult calls in the boardroom." This at least has the merit of being quite funny, but that is about the best that can be said for the catalogue of corporate governance breaches Mr Cameron has so willingly put his name to. | kamitora

03/12/2008 23:29 | Have no interest in the shares but advised that under UK company law a transaction of this type with a connected party is not allowed. The UK regulatory body responsible for the incorporation and share domicile of Sibir would I believe need to investigate this and the earlier 3rd class hotel transaction. Interesting..... | cyberian
03/12/2008 23:18 | Mr Tchigirinski | tpain
03/12/2008 23:18 | There is not much difference between 0.1% and 1% from an initial 50%. They know how to get out of them, and that is by not messing with the Russians. That involves paying them all our money. | tpain
03/12/2008 23:12 | No one really knows. Liquidation or bankrupcy is very unlikely however there is a very real chance that the Russians will steal more shareholders money. Possibly by forcing Sibir to sell them assets on the cheap...or by diluting everyone out of their shareholdings. It happened before to this very company. It got diluted down from something like a 50% holding to less than 0.1%. | tpain
