"My advice for shareholders is to fire the management," said Ivan Mazalov, a fund manager at Prosperity Capital Management in Moscow

Yes a brilliant idea Ivan Mazalov. But how to do it when Tchigirinsky and pals control more than 50% of the votes and they are certainly not going to fire the management?

I would ask you to re-read your post Coco... telling investors not to listen others who have nothing to gain or lose from speaking their mind, and then you give your own biased opinion as a holder.

FWIW- I agree people should get as much info about about the company as they possibly can, although i think that should be from as many sources as is available. Reading a company issued PDF will of course be biased toward the company. But still worth while looking at both sides of the coin before flipping it...

Good luck out there

Dav.

Some investors and shorters might want to read the PDF of the circular available on sibir's website rather than reading other peoples opinions from news papers and fund managers that dont hold the shares.
This company wants to survive the downturn and is well placed to do it and I believe it will - read the PDF go on make the effort then make your mind up - This is difficult times and I think Sibir have just played a class card.

I just hope the directors buy more at this level now that would be clever of them and I dont mean 100,000.

This is also in place to stop a predator read the PDF

At the expense of a bit a masochism (I should have sold in July) I hope this company goes bust! It should drag down Tchiriwhatnot with it, unfinished worthless property assets & all.

Now we've been shown, again, what kind of business is done in Russia, it's time to sort out a reliable energy policy WITHOUT THEM & their gas.

That nice European giant, EDF, have what it takes to build the nuclear power plants needed to send (ras)putin & his gang of thieves packing.

It'll be a long wait before "Russian" means more than "thieving crooks".
Energy prices still falling, oil hit $45 today I hear!
Russian economy like a pack of cards.......

if there going to spend 635 million is that rubbles .dollars or sterling I wonder, but which ever it is ,why would new real estate be junk status, i cant fatham that one at all ,it might well under pin the price for the forseeable furture going forward.

The problem with owning property in Russia is that about 8,000 others will appear saying the property belongs to them.

Ownership could be decided by the number of hired guns.

Still at 40p/share I've had a punt because a month ago the company was worth nearly £500 more than it is now.

That's about how much the property folio and it's initial development is costing!

Katsy

I thought this may bounce but when you think about what they have announced today
it is difficult to see it. The market is sending a clear message that it does not like it one bit and expect to see the share price punished further.

There may be a chance of a quick bounce but it is too early to call.
