06/6/2022 17:06 | It really does show you just how much stocks can overreact to the downside. It also exemplifies the perils of trying to pick the bottom with a share. Cheap can always get cheaper as I've found out on many occasions. Wish I'd bought this at sub 100p and not the price I got in at well over 1 year ago thinking that was already cheap! Note to self - unless looking for a short term trade wait for a reversal or solid base to be established before buying in on recovery plays. | pinemartin9
06/6/2022 17:00 | Imminent news possibly about acquisition, being approached themselves or another thumping contract. City news have a note out about bargain small caps, although not mentioning SWG.Clearly there is a lot of mis-pricing in the market which can take a few months or even a year to resolve providing the growth trend continues. I think stocks like this have done most of the hard work and have reached the inflexion point of cash positive, no debt, and accelerating growth opportunity. Particularly favourable with less or no exposure to blocked supply chains, currency wobbles or geopolitical worries. Let the market work it out! | earwacks

06/6/2022 09:28 | Haven't seen anything - this month's Techinvest is issued this Wednesday. Good to see relatively small buying causing a 5p jump. Perhaps not much stock around. | rivaldo

18/5/2022 13:15 | chrisdbg. When emailed the Chairman last Christmas, he was indeed concerned about an opportunistic bid. I personally think that is pretty unlikely. The untapped potential in cybersecurity is pretty big. They have not yet demonstrated a consistent performance. predators tend to like buying more established businesses not just cheap ones. SWG is a promising outfit. Not quite found its mojo yet, just like IGP. Both have have recently begun to find stability and have laid the foundations for accelerated profits and revenue. Neither have yet fully established a strong track record and in this market thats hardly surprising, though have done well to both be free from debt and build reasonable cash balances. They have both not ruled out further acquisitions, but that is a long slow haul unless they go for something bigger. SWG have said they are not in the market to buy something that needs fixing, they want something immediately earnings enhancing. Doesn't everyone? Buyouts often come out of the blue. I can't see a management buyouts why would be of interest to an investment company. They have both cut cost to the bone and are as cost efficient as they can be. Just been watching the manager of BG's Shippon Trust in Japan talking about how their businesses have all got good growth 50-100% but sentiment is not valuing any of this. Value will out, but more patience is required | earwacks
17/5/2022 15:44 | Obviously up until last year they were the buyer but could they be a bid candidate..? Any thoughts on buyers? | chrisdgb

08/5/2022 18:17 | Hi Matthew - I'm not on Techinvest (to be honest had never heard of it until you mentioned it and I've had a quick look at the preview) Has Shearwater been featured in their tech news coverage? Thanks Lammy | lammylover
08/5/2022 12:44 | Anyone on TECHINVEST, I am wanting to form a group of similar minded people to discuss its views etc and information. Click my name and send a note. | matthew palmer
