04/4/2024 07:53 | frogkid, obviously, if the bid goes through then you will be too late to the party. If it does not go through, I believe the share price will fall and some will see that as a buying opportunity. Personally, I will want to see the dust settle before deciding to increase my holding. That means I will be waiting for the replacement Board and assessing their competence / strategic direction. | lowtrawler
04/4/2024 07:03 | cc Except they may not!! | redhill
04/4/2024 06:58 | Best of luck today folks , I will be watching with interest. | frogkid
04/4/2024 05:54 | LT I expect this to go through, purely because the Hedgies will not gamble, bird in hand and all that. The Tanzanian Government were never going to approve of an unknown entity buying this, so the founders were always going to get their company back into private hands. They have played a good game. The only doubt in my mind is will this gold surge change those buyers attitude to risk of voting no | clotted cream
04/4/2024 03:12 | New record high $2302 | fitton
03/4/2024 21:50 | Source, Shanta has been undervalued for a long time. They never should have traded under 15p and only reached lower prices due to a series of unfortunate events. Each $100 increase in the gold price should add around 2p to the share price. IMV, you are correct. Fair value, absent a bid, should be over 20p at current pog. The bid should have been offering at least 25p in the current price environment. However, I suspect an undeserved discount will remain should the bid fail. We aren't going to magically pop-up to 20p. Let's see how the vote goes tomorrow and then hopefully all will become clearer. | lowtrawler
03/4/2024 20:38 | Gold Prices hitting more ALL TIME highs at $2298 per ounce today!! Wow!This means Shanta are simply printing gobs more cash here. Gold price is materially higher than when the management goons launched their heist buyout. Gold is now over $300 higher than when they bid for it!!! The MM's are clearly holding shares back here as the gold price clearly means Shanta is worth materially higher here wrt NPV, IRR & massive profitability. Share price should be over 20p here at these gold price levels AT LEAST!!! | source

03/4/2024 16:48 | More large buys. Hopefully all will be revealed tomorrow. | redhill
03/4/2024 11:44 | Moved up to 2.77% on 19 March, now at 3.85%:- | metis20
03/4/2024 11:37 | Looks like Decagon will certainly be there | phillis
03/4/2024 08:24 | Phillis, many of the larger institutional holders could easily vote at the meeting. Whether this announcement would alter their vote is debatable but every little helps as they say. | lowtrawler
03/4/2024 08:03 | Apols LT, I thought it was the vote tomorrow. I just looked at the chart, at least you're getting a premium on the last 12 months. | frogkid
03/4/2024 07:59 | So why didn’t they release this BEFORE voting finished More silly conspiracy theories | phillis
03/4/2024 07:58 | frogkid, a bit late for actions to prevent the bid, it is going to court tomorrow. It remains unclear if the bid will succeed. Needing 75% for such a low bid is a steep hill to climb. Unless voting in person at the meeting, all the votes have already been made. | lowtrawler
03/4/2024 07:45 | I've been watching this with great interest. I have held SHG in the past, no position at present. This feels like ENK some years back. The PI got shafted. The board were in on it. Not sure there is much you can do unless someone gets an action group together, today. | frogkid
03/4/2024 07:37 | All Official communication from SHG since December have been slanted to show the company is in a poor state and best thing shareholders can do is sell, sell, sell! Where are detailed Singida drill results from 6 months of drilling? Where are detailed WK drill results from 6-9 months of drilling? Q1/24 production results are being manipulated as we speak if released at all. Zurin's dishonesty is transparent. OUT! | stevea171
03/4/2024 07:37 | HW, if you're going to support a low ball bid, you won't do anything to add value to the business. They must be sitting on a largish cash pile now as well. It will help pay down the Patel loans should they succeed. If the bid succeeds, my guess is they will prioritise reserves at Singida so they can create the mine expansion. In 2 years time, Singida could be producing 50k ounces with NLGM stable at 65k ounces. Once WK feasibility is produced, they will have no trouble bringing in a JV partner, possibly on a free carry. It will mean in 5 years time, they could have 115k annual ounces from Tanzania and, say, a 30k ounce share of WK production. By that time, with 2500 gold, they will be making as much pre-tax profit every year as the price they are offering for Shanta today. | lowtrawler
03/4/2024 07:34 | 1st offer was to shackle value 2nd offer to rob it I'm sure they will have had enough time to take the % required for any internal voting. | institutional investments
03/4/2024 07:29 | All part of the plan to steal the company from the lumpen who got it to this point | juju44
03/4/2024 07:28 | It's shocking. How many little companies go on to genuine value? And when it does happen, robbed | institutional investments
03/4/2024 07:20 | Management goons trying so hard to make things look bad but they couldn't hide the obvious i.e. this company has an amazing future & assets that's spewing out cash at gold prices at all time highs!!!Kakamega Camp NI 43-101 resource of 1,285 Koz grading 10.60 g/t Au.No wonder they're trying to steal it from shareholders after we've paid for years to get to this pay off point! Throw all the bums out when we win the vote!!! | source
03/4/2024 07:01 | but I think this is the first time i've seen where the reserve based mine life has not changed - it's normally extended | hard work
03/4/2024 06:47 | No mystery. Part of the reason Shanta have historically been undervalued is they don't prove high enough reserves. This creates concern over mine life and leads to low valuation multiples. Publishing this data might just win then another few votes. | lowtrawler
03/4/2024 06:31 | To say I am confused is an understatement. WTF is this RNS? Either no work is being done - possible given this shower. Or they know the bid is failing and trying to wriggle out of the pit they have dug for themselves? | michaelfenton |
