I get quite near to the Liberum target.

Modelling total cashflows from NLGM, Singida and W.Kenya, I get a 10-year Post Tax NPV of US$487m (PoG at US$1,800/oz, Discount rate @ 6%).

Converting to Sterling at a Forex rate of 1.36 gives Post Tax NPV of £358m.

Current shares out are 1,048m

Hence 10-yr NPV per share ~ 34.2p

Clearly much can change (both negatively and positively), so not much reliance should be placed on long term targets, but in my view they are better than nothing!

Yep Still down on the week - never mind previous weeks- and some people get all excited when it claws back a small proportion of its losses . It is a bit like putting on £5 on the lottery then winning £3when one number comes up and you go about saying that you won the lottery the other night! Unbelievable.

I doubt we will get any change to this years guidance. We need a statement which demonstrates confidence in delivery and no surprises.

Big week coming up for shareholders of Shanta gold with the 4th Quarter production update together with guidance for 2022.

To recap guidance was lowered to 55000 oz-57000 oz last month.
So far we already know that production for the first 9 months of the year totalled 43036 oz. A big reduction from previous years. So somewhere between 12000 & 14000 oz to meet the reduced figure.

Average tonnes per day in the 3rd Q were 2428 with an average head grade of 2.2g/t.
recoveries were 86%.

This has been the worst production year in Shanta's history and it's now time for the Directors to earn their salaries.
Guidance for 2022 was stated as 74713 @ AISC of 1064 per oz. when the 5 year plan was produced. I would have thought with the ore that they couldn't get out last year that they may be able to boost this figure.
Let's see what they come up with!!!!
