I am staggered this VAT receivable is still unprovided for. The auditors have a lot of questions to answer. How on earth can this $27m not even by partially provided for. A total nonsense and sadly entirely predictable.

meanreverter - I didn't say write it off, I said partially provide and you don't need to disclose that you have provided for a specific debt due, albeit in this case one could probably work it out given the scale of the receivable and any provision. I'm not sure the TG would be bothered. I think the reason they haven't provided is the exact opposite, i.e. they don't want the TG to think that SHG has effectively given up on collection! Give that Gov half a yard and they will take a mile! I still can not believe how the Auditors are happy and how it passes the IFRS 9 test but anyway.

Chipper - I did some basic high level calcs - your IRRs must be a pre-tax IRR as using a $1,400 price you only generate c.$500 net cash flow per oZ. I think from memory they said c.39,000 oz per year for 7 years? less tax and the initial cap-ex, and the fact the inflows come much later than the cap-ex. I get an IRR in the very low teens. Agree not break-even (I was being flippant) but equally hardly world beating given geopolitical risk/execution risk/POG risk.

I believe its probably Sustainable Capital who i understand are getting out of mining stocks but am waiting for the updated shareholding on Shanta's website. At 30/9 they held 62.667 million.

What's the point of discussing matters with zealots LT? Whatever you say RH will come up with a theory why it must be something else but the company.

The price action demonstrates that the market does not take the recent news well. Holders or potential investors have voted and the only way it will come back is with good news. Period.

Last year 20600 ozs @ $850 AISC in Q4.

Need 75000 ozs @ $1050 AISC from 5 year plan confirmed at update to bring a bit of confidence. We will see

There is either a big seller or a big buyer, or both, but as far as disclosure goes the market never bothers chasing or fining any one, to get around this we should go back in time where every trade had a name attached to hit, its ever since Blair introduced that was stopped because of 1 or 2 companies, i bet Blair got a few million for doing this, i think the company was called Huntington Life. Its like any thing now adays every is treated as a Peado. No common sense.

RH, in years gone by, I can remember holdings disclosures being an issue but in recent years, I haven't seen anything worse than a few days delay in notification. You could be correct but there is currently no evidence there is an institutional seller, only an assumption based on high trading volumes.

RH, each time a 1% threshold is crossed, they need to disclose whether they have finished selling or not. The lack of any announcement suggests no institution has sold more than 1% in recent weeks.

Really. So millions of shares have been bought over the last few weeks and no one is selling .

The reason why we haven't seen any notification is that they haven't finished and no large sell has yet been reported.

At least 40 million shares have been bought recently.

RH, there have been no significant notified changes of holding in the last few weeks and so it is difficult to support a view that one of our institutions is offloading.
