Anyone got any idea on the scale of their operations? I thought they were based in a couple of European countries aside from the UK. Any info available in terms of their expansion plans? (if any?)

Still managing to hover around the support level for this stock.
I think we will need a move North quickly to regain confidence in this one, hopefully soon.

Positive AGM statement this morning.

I especially liked this bit:

First Quarter Update

In the Circular to Shareholders dated 4 June 2004, it was stated that the pro
forma effect of the Disposal was earnings dilutive. The Group has, however,
taken significant steps to reduce costs in its retained UK businesses and to
improve trading generally. Profits for the first quarter were encouraging and
indicate that, barring unforeseen circumstances, the management action programme is expected at least to offset any dilution arising in the current year.

in the uk we only recycle 12% of our waste, that going to change soon, there is going to be serious growth it recycling soon
and shanks is in a strong position to be rewarded, thats why i purchased 6k, worth of this company.
its a good company to add to my portfilo, which pays a good divi, which is a added bonus.

just purchased 4982 shares, it looks like this company is on the up.
britain is going to have to go more green, and this company will benefit, from next month onwards.
there,s income and growth in this company thats what made it a strong buy in my head
