We always choose Lanzarote. Tenerife too busy. Funny you should mention cuttings. We spotted a prime scarlet zonal with double rococo flowers on the way to lunch just after I finished reading the Colre.... sorry, not allowed to talk about that.

Mine were still alive before we left for Lanzarote; a long lasting sheet over them. Hope it's not blown off. Could be a good time not to be producing any gas.

We need to see capitulation and that'll come when the US closes down significant parts of its economy imo dyor ofc.Unless of course Trump calms the populous with his sage intellectual musings...

The market has further to drop. The unknown is the great mystery and as such chaos presents an opportunity. Let us hope this settles in a few weeks and not many more are impacted - alas I feel we will only start to realise the rate of infections in the coming weeks.

Well, you have to take the rough with the smooth here. I used to grow rubber plants and poinsettias for a living but I'm still up for a chat about Zonal Pelargoniums.

Being hard up in the mid eighties my wife and I enjoyed the cheap Welsh lamb available as a knock on from the Chernobyl disaster. She died of cancer three years later. Probably no connection but if the current Mrs Bear wants to go to Sorrento she's on her own. It's so windy in Lanzarote right now that the little viruses will likely get blown past us and on to Bermuda.

Gives a new meaning to the term disaster tourism, FB.

You'll always get someone willing to put themselves in harm's way for a bargain, though.

I worked with a lad who stayed at the resort that was shot-up in Tunisia - as he told it, most British folk wanted to get out of the country as soon as possible - but there was one guy in particular who was happy to negotiate an extra fortnight's all inclusive for him and his family - even tried to get other folk he knew to fly out on the cheap.

Dire.
