17/3/2020 16:01 | almsivi re dividend. I use Sharescope and the forecast is for 2.55p for the next 2 years. I don't know how reliable these figures are but I believe they are compiled from broker forecasts. Still, not to long to wait to find out. | farmscan
17/3/2020 15:20 | Only 1 new Corona case reported in China Tuesday which is good to hear. | captainfatcat
17/3/2020 15:14 | I don't want to speculate on how low it will go - but what I will say is that whatever dividend they planned to put out in April back in January is going to look colossal as a yield on our current share price Assuming they went with 5p a share as has been widely speculated by other board members - the return at time of announcement (122p on Jan 14th) would have been 4% - quite healthy and in line with our peer group. 5p per share at our current share price (65p) would be an 8% yield - so double the pre-crash estimate if a 5p divi was paid out today. I appreciate that as we get closer to April the share price will no doubt rise due to people looking to capitalise on the maiden dividend thus affecting the yield, but if the BoD stick to whatever figure they envisioned pre-crash - I can't see it hurting one little bit. | almsivi

17/3/2020 12:37 | Well i,m going to give chestnuts some credit. He did predict SQZ falling to 64p some time ago so a pretty good call in my book. Nobody else was talking of such prices. We were all looking much higher. Nonetheless SQZ has held up far better than most of its peers a few of which will likely be meeting the undertaker before the oil rout is over. Serica will survive and thrive. imho | pineapple1

17/3/2020 10:34 | How low will this go? Is anyone buying at this price? Is GG still buying on the way down? | circles of stone
17/3/2020 10:01 | £101m in the bank, Bruce on line and circa 36k boed of which 80% is gas where the price has not collapsed in the way oil has. Where is the bottom, this share will be one of the winners IMO, unlike poor holders in TLW, etc. Looking for a re-entry point. GLA difficult times indeed. | simplemilltownboy
17/3/2020 01:27 | Alas that time is approaching, Bob has been at the doobistani bar for long enough. He will soon be collecting his coat and pipe, to commence his voyage. Where it will go no one knows - Bob has seen many take the first vessel in the rough seas and carnage has ensued. The seas are still wild but as with the paradox that is life - to do nothing is not an option, to do something is the great unknown. His journey shall begin next week and he wishes you all well. | goblin99
16/3/2020 12:27 | AXA Investments do not seem perturbed by the volatility of the market They have increased their stake in the business to 11% from 10% | almsivi
16/3/2020 09:24 | Alas I recall a tale from many a year, Bob telling it as if it were just yesterday. It was from nearly 100 years, of a child who jumped into a well. But the well was not deep said the child, after having been saved by good fortune. And what made you think it wasn't deep asked the wise owl. The response was one of innocence yet displayed naivety - I dropped a stone and waited it to go plop, so knew it couldn't have been that deep. Ah mused the wise owl, that explains all | goblin99

13/3/2020 11:43 | FB you certainly did very well with your timing and I can fully understand your position. When some normality returns you will be well positioned to dip a tow in again. My 4 year old daughter is just recovering from a bug and I can tell you sitting up with her during the last few nights while she has shaken and shivered and temperature soared has been a very unsettling experience. | captainfatcat
13/3/2020 11:25 | upomega Gas is going to stay down around these prices alot longer than you think, we are having a small bounce but i reckon it will have another dip down to 18p a therm , and the markets have not stopped falling nothing is fixed the government is going to allow the virus to run riot through out the Uk so we could have an awful lot of people dying i think using their numbers around 500k it will do wonders for the pension deficit and bring house prices down as the country could be swamped with alot of empty houses, then you have the markets with country not working for say 3 months the GBP will fall so our balance of payments will balloon and the government could be forced to raise interest rates just at the wrong time and that would put the nail in the coffin of the house market, and while this is going on Serica share price could fall to around 25p Have a good day | chestnuts
13/3/2020 11:13 | Trouble is that in this market even the best companies are dropping like stones. I can't believe how many more of these I could buy back just a month after selling out. Prudence and advanced reliance on my pot means I can't risk it right now. | fardels bear
13/3/2020 11:08 | Wonder how much opex is going to fall to when they have a full 100% of BKR production. Sub $10 Boe seems very likely? | captainfatcat |
