Quite so bounty. Issued on 9 October 2018 with expiry 31 October 2019:

a further announcement on 5 November 2018 confirmed all conditions attached to the licence had been met in full:

so no reason to suppose anything has changed or is likely to.

Fardels Bear, while most definitely frustrating, if the license is the current cause of weakness (which is most definitely possible), then a glass half full approach would be to see it as an annual cyclical opportunity.

My sentiment remains as it was this time last year in that I can't see any logical reason as to why the license will not be renewed year after year. Even if the the US were at full scale war with Iran, the current UK government arrangement ensures that Iran will not see a penny of their Rhum based income until Uncle Sam is happy for them to do so.

To my thinking it would require a change in the UK governments position with regard to the escrow account, rather than anything between Iran and the US, for the issuance of the license to ever be in doubt. Currently I just don't see that happening albeit I accept all of the above doesn't do anything to prevent such a situation being financially exploited by those "who can and do".

Really? There would be at least a short period with no licence if that was the case.
Surely they can apply in advance and the new licence would be issued to run contiguously?

It's not renewable in advance though. You can't apply for the new one until the current one expires.I'm sure they've been given the nod but that nod isn't given to the spineless amongst us.

But if they are going ahead with R3 intervention right now then I can't see any problem.

That bloody license is the cause of the pullback. How many years to come will that haunt us?

Certainly in the right region with the right spec for R3 intervention.
If the case can't be any concern whatsoever re the licence.
Probably keeping things quiet for obvious reasons.

Rever Polaris spent a couple of days in relatively close proximity to the Bruce platform, but has now repositioned approx 24 NM North of Bruce, so is now at the Rhum field:

Tks for the welcome back Nigel.
Hope you are going well in these challenging times :)

Nice holding FB.

I thought selling at 135-142.5 and buying again at 105p was a smartish call.

I like Genl was well after results today.
