Nice spot abbot. Feels like we are just sitting back making cash at the moment - which isn't a bad place to be of course but imagine the board are continually reviewing opportunities for that cash.

Cheers TA, all good publicity and the gas price should be on its way back up towards winter levels by then :)

I think we could do with buying some oil production.

From an IOG presentation published on Friday:

UK gas 5–- year forward curve average: 49p/therm

Past decade spot average: 50p/therm

UK gas storage capacity is c.2% of annual demand. Clear exposure to price spikes.

Win win either way. Someone else comes in and finds something, chances are they would utilise our infrastructure.

From Henderson Smaller Companies' Annual Report issued today - SQZ are a new position of theirs acquired during the year:

"Serica Energy is a North Sea focused oil and gas exploration and production company. The company expanded significantly through the acquisition of the Bruce, Rhum and Keith fields from BP, Total, BHP and Marubeni. This deal, which solved ownership issues of the vendors, was achieved at a fantastic price for Serica and transformed it into one of the major independent oil and gas producers in the North Sea. The company will generate substantial free cash flow in the coming years leaving it well placed to do further value-enhancing deals."

That's looks like a Dragonfly Doji today FB (although the body could be flatter) - a potential reversal signal!?

(It's a while since I've looked at charting so did a quick brush up but I'm certainly not up to the standard of those posting earlier on these things and stand to be corrected!)

UK natural gas prices (Sep19) up again, ~15% today! Any further increases will take us above the hedged floor of 35p for a proportion of production.

I wonder wether RRE will outperform SQZ going forward from today . Seems like it might but i,m happy to stay invested here for a few more years yet.Got the best of both worlds fortunately.
I may even make it to 10 years of holding. Must be 7 yrs now.
imho

That ties in very nicely with number 1 on my list...

1) BKR production increase planned from around 24k boepd to up to 30k yearly average

A nice jump in output for data from 15th Apr out today as per

A 9782 boe/d increase for BKR over the previous month to 15th Mar, suspect some form of PM may account for this.

All net to Serica, i make it Bruce 12430, Kieth 788, Rhum 15864 & Erskine 3468, totalling 32550 boe/d.

Its a steal.

Not much chance of a mention here from the usual sources of the 6%+ increase in the UK Gas Sept19 price today ;-)

Yes I thought I might have got that wrong so quickly corrected but not quick enough lol!

Re the Doji I'm no expert so did a bit of reading up and yes it looks like good news since as posted by those more knowledgeable about this it's a reversal signal. Not quite a Dragonfly which would have been really nice! :)
