09/5/2022 07:32 | has the share buyback now finished been no transactions reported for the last couple of trading days, does anyone no thanks......... | wilksey1
11/3/2022 11:28 | I forgot about the defence exposure.. Good point. Cheapness here will not last forever. Too successful and too multi-faceted. | undervaluedassets
09/3/2022 19:34 | Topped up early this morning, which was lucky timing, but like the defence exposure, cash generation and low rating. Reputation still being rebilitated, but increasingly looks well run. | 18bt
02/3/2022 12:55 | weemonkey "Last time Serco had profits of £228 million (2011-2012) it was trading between £4.00 and £5.20." Don't forget to account for at least the massive share dilution that has happened since then. Personally it isn't the way I value a stock but if you are happy to do it that way take into account the dilution. Good luck. :) | medieval blacksmith
02/3/2022 12:34 | Finally seems to have woken up! Still at low levels but if sentiment has turned we can realistically expect to see a climb back to 170 in the near future. | salpara111
28/2/2022 16:30 | Serco's USA defence business looks good now. | brain smiley
28/2/2022 16:27 | Last time Serco had profits of £228 million (2011-2012) it was trading between £4.00 and £5.20. Bought a few more .. We will see. | weemonkey
28/2/2022 09:44 | Decent results and announcement of buybacks and 70% increase in Divi. Very few stocks with friends currently. Perhaps Serco will finally catch the fair wind it deserves. PE of 5 and yet, on this showing, profits are up more than 20X (not a typo ..20X (2000%)) since 2017. | undervaluedassets
24/2/2022 09:59 | Pretty much as forecast which puts them on a single digit p/e. As a long term holder I would admit to being rather frustrated by the lacklustre sp! Glad to see that they have realised the error of their ways regarding the divi and are now looking to substantially ramp it up. | salpara111
24/2/2022 07:52 | Pretty much in-line. They look to have given themselves some decent upside potential in their 2022 guidance. With all the results out this morning plus war, need to look closer later. | 18bt
23/2/2022 15:35 | Results tomorrow. Analysts consensus is Rev: £4,425m Adj PTP £191 EPS 11.6p Div (full year) 2.64. Then for profits to fall c 11% in 2022 - so the outlook statement will be particularly interesting now that they should be fairly clear about the end of testing contracts. | 18bt
18/2/2022 19:57 | Looking at getting back in. Sold at £1.42 earlier last year so current price is a reasonable re-entry point. I will however wait for finals before doing so. Finals are pencilled in for Thursday 24th Feb. | scobak
04/1/2022 11:40 | Agree. SRP Have made a fortune out of the pandemic and said fortune has bizarrely, been totally discounted (in fact not counted at all) by the market. Also, unlike many companies during this period, they have not had to go cap in hand to the market for more cash or to issue more shares. So no dilution of Equity. In fact, Serco has been buying back its own stock. SRP was an improving business before COVID and it will be a better business after COVID. Why? Because for Serco, COVID has been like winning the lottery. When it is over it will be back to business as usual but with a huge, unexpected wodge of extra cash in the bank. What is not to like about that? | undervaluedassets
30/12/2021 12:02 | Valuation is absurd No one pays any attention to cashflows (when they should). And cashflows here have been really very good. | weemonkey
29/12/2021 12:16 | Since 2017 profits are ahead by 1400% Meanwhile, since 2017 the share price has only advanced by 12.5% (the median share price for 2017 was £1.20). Conundrum. Well, I am going to stick with this one. The management team are well respected. I do not know what more they can do, apart from growing profits/EPS and turnover; which, of course, they have done. The next results are set to be good too. It has been my habit to arrive early in situations like this and to wait. This kind of thing gets sorted out in the end.. Patience patience. | undervaluedassets
16/12/2021 16:40 | “Finally some movement”. You can’t possibly be talking about this share price! I think it’s the worst share I own, like watching paint dry. I won’t sell because I too believe it is undervalued but what stimulus is needed to push it on and up? | andrewkelly
29/11/2021 16:59 | How fast things change .. my last post now making me look rather clever .. Snce my post on the 21 Nov Omicron has arrived. With Omicron here it is now guaranteed that SRP are going to be busier than ever. update - finally some movement .. you cannot have four-year earnings growth like that and have NO share price reaction. | undervaluedassets
21/11/2021 04:56 | Another thing.. I think that everyone thinks that COVID is over.. It is not over. The WHO expects it to be running at high levels for at least the next 5 years. Take a look at Europe... France, Germany, Austria, Poland, Slovenia etc etc. Covid is surging to all time highs now. Serco's Covid services going to be needed for ages. | undervaluedassets
16/11/2021 08:35 | Golden cross | 18bt
15/11/2021 12:50 | molatov .. What mattered was that they are going to beat expectations. The rest of it was very measured... I do not know what else they are supposed to do. So far the market seems to regard the update with some positivity. (I should add this makes sense to me seeing as profits are up 1400% since 2017 and the shares are only up 20% since 2017) | undervaluedassets
15/11/2021 12:03 | Their order book is very healthy, the biggest issue with new contracts is the amount of cash that is required to get them up and running and then there is the risk that you have mispriced it but you won't find that out until its too late! that is the nature of this type of business. I bought due to the fact that the business really has been restructured and should be able to generate decent profits going forward but the market seems to be hesitant in joining the optimism! | salpara111
15/11/2021 11:48 | Seems very defeatist that RNS....we've had a good time, but it ain't going to last stuff Here'a an idea, why don't they spend the next 12 months trying to plug at least some of the gap and get busy ! | molatovkid
15/11/2021 11:39 | Great trading update. Stock is comically cheap. | undervaluedassets
15/11/2021 11:05 | I'm at a loss as to what to do here! I've been in for a while and just above b/e. I was really disappointed by the minimal divi as it told of a lack of confidence by management going forward which is again displayed by this update. I'm really tempted to set a limit order for about 139 and exit with a small profit....if it can actually get there! | salpara111 |
