25/8/2020 19:49 | What do you think of Serco involvement in housing illegal immigrants? Is this easy money, or will it blow up in their faces? | joestalin
25/8/2020 09:10 | I agree on the mass testing carer. Difficult to do but certainly in those lock down areas it makes sense to go door to door but I think that is what they are doing. As for Serco and SDL making a lot of money out of COV-19, they make some - it is a fixed margin which is probably 3 or 4%. To me I am impressed that they can recruit 12,000 or more people within a matter of months. Paying those people takes money so thus the large sums the govt pays. But if Serco wasn't employing them to help with things like Test and Trace would the govt. be paying them out benefits anyway, even paying them Furlough money? I think they would, so it makes more sense to me to give them work. Also of course Serco are losing money from their contracts for running swimming pools and other facilities - listen to the webcast of the AGM, gives some background on all this. As I recall they actually say it balances out for them although of course things like Test and Trace can be ended on short notice so they are as keen as everyone else to see the end of Cov-19. | spagboll
24/8/2020 17:26 | Serco and another company SDL? are paid 200million pound for track and trace , and possibly more according to recent newspaper article. That is a lot of money to gain form COV-19 situation. If the mass testing is implemented as tony Blair is suggesting , then somebody will make more money. I think the best way to mass test to get back to normal , otherwise , the whole uncertainty will be with us forever. | carer
23/8/2020 16:34 | Regurgitated old news, with a new spin. I'm hoping Serco distances from the whole Covid-19 situation - not sure its worth the aggro. | smithless

22/8/2020 10:17 | Ooops. Serco misses out on a Government contract. I thought they already had that one or was it track and trace and if so have they done such a bad job on track and trace that they have been sidelined? | dropcable
20/8/2020 09:57 | It looks a potential speculative buy to me, however the price already demands a lot. The forward rating rarely gets a mention on here. For a recovery play, with an arguably chequered record, it's not cheap. | essentialinvestor
20/8/2020 09:51 | Spag: My Dear friend, ive decided to sell out couldn't take the daily falls, I should have got out in the 140s , but decided to hold , which has seen big falls for my portfolio, I've moved over to RDSB, got in at 1086, which I'm happy with, and feel I don't have to keep an eye on the share price constantly, more confident with them than serco, but I still feel serco is a good share, but just see value elsewhere, no doubt will go up now I've sold, good luck and maybe see you on another MB sometime. | chess123
19/8/2020 17:49 | Thanks for your post Spag, I was hoping the share price would stay above 1.40p but alas was not to be , was looking bad as was dropping everyday so today is a bonus, I'm hoping for a rise again tommorow and friday and get back into 140s, but feel this is going to be a long term hold. | chess123
19/8/2020 16:32 | A rare site Chess. Was thinking it looks more positive today, for the past few days to me it looked like there was a big seller, maybe Blackstone, keeping the price down although it did hold up well. After that drop down earlier I am hoping that was them cleared. Let us see what tomorrow brings, perhaps a revised holding notification will appear. How are your daily predictions going, I've not looked back? | spagboll
19/8/2020 15:48 | Brian,thanks. I had a lower figure. | essentialinvestor
