19/7/2010 00:16 | broadwood - how so? 120 planes * average of £500k per plane is 60,000,000 and if the margin is 10% then they are making £6m per year. We know there are orders for 7 years so that's £42m profit for current orders. S | smarm
18/7/2010 23:18 | smarm - don't think your figures are correct. Some more noughts? | broadwood
18/7/2010 16:30 | p.s the 787 has landed safely at Farnborough. S | smarm
18/7/2010 16:30 | From 2009 annual report: Of these orders, 851 are for the Boeing 787 aircraft, where Senior has between US$600k and US$1,100k of content per aircraft, depending on the engine configuration. Take an average then of $800 per plane or rounded £500k. 863 planes on order. 120 planes per year by 2013. 120 * 500k = £60,000,000 We don't know the margin but say 10%. That's £6m profit per year by 2013. And orders already lasting 7 years in the bag. I strongly suggest a read here. Funny to see people selling on recession woes...too silly when you look at the fabulous order book. S | smarm

18/7/2010 07:44 | Great article on BBC this AM re the 787..Does anybody know or direct me to how/what much we contribute to the 787 build. Can imagine that it would relate to a number of obscure parts, but wondering if there is a major part of the build that SNR can lay claim to? Thx | kimball808
17/7/2010 12:39 | The 787 flight-test airplane, ZA003, will touch down at Farnborough the morning of Sunday, July 18 and will remain on static display through mid-day July 20. The airplane will be open for tours on a scheduled basis July 19 and 20. Boeing is using ZA003 to test and certify seats, galleys and associated cabin safety and comfort systems, among other test points. | gerhux
15/7/2010 19:51 | I wonder if this is the plane they will be sending to London. S | smarm

15/7/2010 00:21 | Indeed indeed, we should see these move up on press and media coverage. | trendfloor
14/7/2010 16:26 | trendfloor - I agree. Also, 787 at Farnborough next week should cause quite a stir. S | smarm
14/7/2010 15:43 | Starting to rally, good sign. Been a very hot stock of late and got my pullback today.... nice. | trendfloor
12/7/2010 20:14 | Telegraph article .................... "BA has also ordered 24 Boeing 787 Dreamliners, with an option on 18 more. Billed as the world' "greenest" aircraft, the much delayed 787 will make its British debut at the Farnborough Airshow next week." | tundeolajide
12/7/2010 12:53 | Positive article in the telegraph about Farnborough Air Show and in particular the 787 making a long anticipated appearance. | jojo01
10/7/2010 15:42 | Tuesday 20th at Farnborough we should get a nice update on 787 progress. 10.00 787 Dreamliner: From Concept to Reality - Radlett Suite (Media Centre) Scott Fancher, vice president and general manager of the 787 Dreamliner Program; Capt. Mike Carriker, chief pilot for the 787 Program, Mike Sinnett, vice president and chief engineer for 787 Systems; and Marlin Dailey, vice president, Sales & Marketing; and John Roundhill, Commercial Airplanes Senior Advisory Group member, will provide an update on 787 development and flight test progress toward first delivery in the fourth quarter of 2010. 09/7/2010 21:58 | jojo - nothing suspicious, I'm afraid your stop was wrong. The average true range for SNR right now is 5 (that is to say over the past 14 days it has moved an average range of 5 points a day). You will therefore need a stop greater than 5 if you are stay in on a busy day. S | smarm
08/7/2010 18:30 | In these types of markets you can get stopped out in a flash for no reason whatsoever apart from a few second where the spread turns against you. | stockadoodle
08/7/2010 18:04 | Stop losses can get triggered too easily in the way you describe. Prefer to trust my judgement. | broadwood
08/7/2010 16:16 | Another lesson learnt the hard way - when the price hit 130p i set a tight stop loss at 127.5, went into the garden for half an hour and came back to find all my shares sold at 128.2p - Apparently the spread had increased by 1.5p running the bid down to 127.5, just enough to trigger my stop loss. It all feels a bit suspicious to me...anyone had a similar experience? | jojo01
08/7/2010 13:14 | Indeed, bought more myself @ 117p on the dip... happy days! | dancing piranha
08/7/2010 12:08 | Off to the races again. | broadwood
08/7/2010 08:40 | Its usual new orders get announced at Farnboro'. And 787 progress? | broadwood |
