There are approx 2.5m 40p option shares floating around which expire at the end of December. Scotgold has announced receipts for 153k option shares so far, leaving approx 2.3m unaccounted for but presumably incoming as they represent free money (if sold into the market for more than 40p) - both for the holder and for Scotgold.

I reckon that over 100k of those exercised option shares have already been sold, hence the drop in the share price over the past week.

At that ratio (of sellers to keepers), we can expect around 1.6m option shares to be flipped onto the market over the next 4 weeks, if the share price remains above 40+p.

The impact on the share price won't be pretty - but at least Scotgold are trousering some extra much-needed cash (40p x 2.5m) to put towards their previously hidden $16m exploration commitment in the Grampian licenses. So it's not all bad.

Let's hope there is no more bad news this year (such as an honest new date forecast for first gold production) or the share price could fall back to where it started, or even lower.

The currency units are irrelevant. The share price fell from £0.01 to £0.002 following the placing and it has never recovered - even after announcing that the mine was "fully funded".

ISTR there was a lot of suspicious selling just before that placing of 62.5m new shares was announced. I don't suppose you know who the culprit was?

Anyway, brace yourself for more, as soon as the options revenue dries up I should think. Gray has no shame.

Here's the thing as you obviously have a short memory. The mug punters who fell for Gray's false promise that Scotgold didn't need any more cash and and bought at 10p (£1 in today's money) on the first gold pour in 2016 are STILL out of pocket three and a half years later.

And those who bailed out when the share price dropped to 2.15p (=21.5p) in late 2017 lost practically all their money thanks to Gray's deception.

My worry now is that history is about to repeat itself. Make no mistake: based on the latest filing, Scotgold need a lot more cash before they will ever see cash generated by Cononish.

The CEO is tainted after that BPT gold pour placing. He can't be trusted - as has been proven by his decision not to disclose the $16m commitment to Grampian exploration. Once a deceiver, always a deceiver.

So just watch out: I know you are heavily mortgaged.

Tell us, wee Graham, did you, as a semi-insider mug punter, know about the commitment Scotgold signed in December 2018 to spend $16m on exploring the Grampian licences - $5.9m of which had to be expensed by the end of next month?

If yes, that probably explains why you've let yourself be diluted here.

If no, do you feel bitter? Do you think the hapless Gray should have stuck to the market rules and disclosed this huge commitment to the market without delay?

Either way, honestly, do you agree that Gray has to step down?

Hey Old shylock the omelette muncher , this is one of yours ! Can you confirm if you just got this wrong or if it was a lie or you are just speed reading g or were you just to plain stupid to know the difference :

“Just to bang the corporate governance drum one last time for this evening, I'm confused as to how the directors were able to take up their entitlement in the Non-renounceable Rights Issue, as announced in the "Change of directors interest" RNS's dated 1 December 2014.According to Schedule 3, paragraph (l) on page 27 of the NOTICE OF GENERAL MEETING AND EXPLANATORY MEMORANDUM issued on 30 July 2014: "Optionholders will not be entitled to participate in new issues of capital offered to Shareholders during the currency of the Options".So, the options were current and yet the directors who were optionholders did participate in the Rights Issue, despite apparently being barred from so doing.Hopefully someone will tell me if I have got this wrong.” (09/14/2016)

The Directors were entitled (and indeed expected) to participate in the Rights Issue by virtue of their shareholding

LOL AT YOU
There will be nothing sudden about it Mr PROVEN LIAR

You discuss nothing and you answer nothing and you prove nothing but I have proved you are a liar on multiple occasions as have multiple others on multiple boards , especially those USOP boys with everything from your IP address to your home address and your false insurance claims and your little pets misfortunate meeting with that lamppost whilst drink driving . All of which has been proved and is a matter of record .

Take us all through the guy you wanted as CEO , you know the one that all but destroyed his shareholders value compared to the one we have here who allegedly made you 300% profit profit which is also something you can't prove.

YOU ARE A PROVEN LIAR

Let's not forget the important stuff. Where is the money coming from to fund this sudden $16m exploration programme? Do you seriously think the mine is going to throw off that kind of cash? I fear that Scotgold will be releasing most of the new licenses early so as to avoid the commitment. They've already discovered that their shareholder base can't or won't put up much cash and NLR will presumably have to curtail the lending soon.

PS. The forum rule which you think you have invented is that only happy-clappy, positive, non-critical, naive, goldbugs are allowed to contribute.

Sorry to have to tell you that useful, well-researched, negative posts are just as welcome (just not by you)!

Tell me, do you pump/post in any other forums or is Scotgold your first and only investment? Your chums seem mostly to be one-stock wonders too.

I think you should all get out more and learn about the markets.

What tosh. I get into lengthy discussions about (in)visible gold, finances, $16m exploration commitments and plenty else which is on topic.

So what's the revised date for first gold production? Will it be in 2020?
