Lozan,
i just dont understand how they keep falling for the rubbish coming from certain quarters.
They must be so tired of listening to the idiot, and then being wrong on everything.
Of course the main culprit immediately tried to squirm out of it, in his usual snakes bellied way... he really is the most despicable individual ive ever come across.

I agree. It makes no sense to open two accounts on one bb. Yet no accounts on the other bb lse. Why now.? Seems very strange to me.Two accounts are certainly not needed.

As an ex chairman of the company he is posting about, and still major shareholder. Would it not be very dangerous from a legal perspective to post about a company you have inside information on. On a public bb.?

I agree with you. It seems very dodgy to me too.

Shame about the lost funding award. Scancell needed it. Another missed opportunity.Funding will be needed this year. Another fundraiser ahead.? This company never stops dissapointing.

Tarquin CLAIMS -
"it seems strange that there was a bit of gloating going on when yesterday's GC miss became evident."
IN FACT - There WAS little or NO "gloating going on when yesterday's GC miss became evident." amongst rational folks.
.
What DID emerge, is THE FACT..as became EVIDENT.. that the trHYPERS 'got it WRONG'

TF,
I witnessed no gloating over the result, far from it, everyone was disappointed, the point the you continue to miss, is the outrageous claims being made by certain people over on the other place... These claims and their author are the target of "ridicule ", but certainly not gloating.
Time after time uneducated nonsense is posted and then gobbled up by the usual culprits over there. The suggestion that the award was " in the bag " and the commentary that no one could touch our presentation or science were numerous.
The arrogance and total lack of morals of certain idiots is astounding. The utter rubbish that is produced by some, beggers belief, and anyone who questions the credibility of these idiots, is shot down with even more lies.
Only last week, there were valuations of hundreds of pounds per share being bandied about ! What the hell !!! Even £1 is as far away as its ever been.
The problem is, if you feed the engine, it will keep running... starve it of fuel, and it will stop.
There are quite a few of you that keep pouring diesel in the tank, and all you do is make yourselves look more and more stupid.

Hi
Yes he claimed to be DE BUT he then posted under the handle alftupper on 19012(which was rapidly edited out leaving just the header).... see my 19014.
Maybe he is DE but why would a former Chairman have TWO handles on one BB?
In any case he's simply making the same points as JC which is simply wait for the data to arrive when hopefully all will be well.
Interestingly it looks like LSE wanted nothing to do with it... they removed all reference to it from yesterday, but I see Katnick's reintroduced it over there this morning and TF's supporting it again.
So who knows whether he is or not? He's been out of the picture for nearly four years and so I wonder why he'd suddenly come to life on a day when the company had some disappointing news to put out.
I suppose if people want to believe that we have the ex Chairman posting, fair enough, but I'd be very careful should the posts start to get slanted one way or the other.as far as I'm concerned it's a rather dodgy scenario. He could get a lot of followers though if he starts to publish "the right message". If he's not legit, what a coup that would be for some people...
However I see some have decided that he's legit, well fair enough. My comments from yesterday remain my position on this.
Apart from all that, share price wise, Bargain bucket time, or wait and see? Hehe

Well as most of us are in this together, it seems strange that there was a bit of gloating going on when yesterday's GC miss became evident.

ONW I don't think that many were 'wild optimists' as you say. I myself saw many good reasons to be optimistic. As Scancell had made the shortlist despite the possibly anomalous presence of big business interests in PBP and despite the fact that Moditope might be thought beyond a 'research project', it seemed to me that the GC Committee might still be onside.

Banging the data drum is spot on - I think everyone is aware of that. But this was something extra, possibly. I'm very disappointed though. ATB

Well, we're offered sub 8p again now, so I guess batten down the hatches and await DATA DATA DATA (per JC the current chairman at the last AGM).
Seems to me very much what the market thinks ATM, and probably is a very sensible course of action.
I'd really like it to be all exciting and different, but (on a northerly course share price wise) I'm not holding my breath!
Always live in hope, but that's what we've all learned here in the last seven years, and although the wild optimists have had a great deal to say,
So Far No Good!
Anyway, you never know :-)

plan A, B, - ???
In REALITY, was the CRUK 'charity donation' ever anything other than a 'stop-gap' ???
IF the 'award' had been successful, would that not have just 'papered-over the cracks' until REAL monies arrived ???
REAL monies will not arrive without data from evidence via positive 'trial' results, showing the theory WORKS.
'Trials' = tests = PROOF { It WORKS or does not}
.
Point is, was there EVER a plan A, never mind a plan B...other than 'Get the trials moving'.
Question IS = How to PAY for the VITAL trials to 'Get going' = RISK
.
The good thing about the M F F F, is it 'focuses the trHYPE clowns' in one place.
Far away from me and the REALITY

Katnick,
the "Grand Challenge" is something totally different, far more prestigious and recognised, furthermore, as ONW says, had it not of been for all the hype and nonsense from certain parties, the negative impact may have been less painful.

Katnick
It's a loss of credibility if the concept that a shortlisted challenge project is advertised as being "in the bag" and subsequently it is revealed not to be.
If the GC outcome had been quietly awaited there wouldn't be disappointment, which is precisely why the share price reacted as it did.
So maybe the loss of credibility was self inflicted or even misdirected.... In other words, whose credibility was more reduced?.

Are we not associated with CRUK with our SCIB2 trial and did they not give us 225 k for the glycan platform Tosh?
How that is a loss of credibility?

ONW,
I think that the company will have to drastically change its corporate structure and its whole ethos. It is nigh on impossible for Scancell to continue in its current format, either theres a friendly source of finance somewhere, or something has to be sold.
I just cant see that yet another cash raise will attract the sort of appetite required to generate sufficient funds, or indeed, funds at the right share price
Even the most ardent and supportive of institutional investor will be getting very nervous now. Although the plums on the other channel are now trying to play down the GC failure, saying that its a blessing, the fact of the matter is, its a severe body blow.
Not only does it mean that we have to find the finance to take Modi3 forward, it also means that the credibility and recognition of being directly associated with a CRUK project has been lost. No matter what way those idiots want to paint it, its NOT good news, and all of their previous " its in the bag " comments, and their endless hype, have come back to haunt them YET AGAIN.
I honestly think that 2019 will be a pivotal year, but not necessarily in the way that many of us want.
Its time to get real and smell the coffee. We cannot IMHO, generate the finance required to do what we want to do, via any other means than a friendly partner or a sale of some of the IP.
I will hold the shares that ive got because that was always my plan, but the future is massively uncertain now.
Lets hope that there was a plan B for everyones sake.

Its been a long day and in places rather strange.
However, I can see all manner of ideas for attempting to recover investor composure by throwing vast tracts of "science" on the BBs, but I think I'll settle a little more for the (necessarily) simplistic view that I reckon fits the position we're in. That is Data Data and more Data (from successful trial results) which will likely be the Key for SCLP's meaningful and hopefully steady path to the start of true commercialisation of the platforms. It seems unlikely that this process will be a quick fix, but once we're comfortably financially geared and the results start to arrive then perhaps we will see some financially rewarding events.
So rather than a data day (sorry) release of info, it seems its more likely to be data days will dictate the path of the share price - subject that is to the satisfactory provision of finance to support what will increasingly become a cash hungry company as we move further from a purely research oriented organisation to a more developmental business.
That said maybe there'll be a cash provision that we didn't see coming in one form or another, but I really find it difficult to see that happening in the short term.
We can but hope! :-)
So that's the end of the day that the dead cert was pronounced certainly dead!

Wanderer think the buy out will be a few pence over 22p, the BOD will need to trigger their options although obviously if they raise at 4p then they'll just rewrite their options again.

Please someone put this dog down and put it out of its misery. Cash call upon cash call to come with 4p on the horizon and a probable buy out Q3 for 10p imo

ONW - there was no acrimony at Board level and if I inferred that I am wrong. There was just a difference of opinion regarding spinning out Moditope and it was resolved without rancour.

Thankyou for your response.
I'm sure you'll understand my concern to discover that you have two identities on this BB and that surprises me.
In the circumstances I'll leave it here, although I'm disappointed that there was acrimony at Scancell in the past.
I'll resist the temptation to call (even if I could find a number) so for the time being I'll let this rather sad part of the thread die a natural.
As to your personal situation I wish you well for the future.
