Wigwammer,

Thanks for that. While we're talking about recruitment, I hope Scancell will make an announcement soon regarding a new NED, it's nearly 6 months since KCB's departure.

Some good news which may help Scancell

BS - TCR is clearly a priority area for the company, as they highlight in their most recent presentation material. They evidently got it right when they put GC bottom of the list. The hires came as a surprise - CH has repeatedly stated that getting trial data is the priority - these hires don't appear necessary to get the scib1 data. So why do it? One reasonable explanation is that he has been steered to believe an inflection point is on the way, but as you suggest, they need to get their house in order first. Fingers crossed :) Below is the list of moditope priorities from the latest presentation, the scib1 trial is clearly another one: - Research collaboration to develop T-cell based therapies established with BioNTech- License agreed with ISA Pharmaceuticals for development of Amplivant® Modi-1 conjugate therapy- GMP manufacturer contracted for production of Modi-1/Amplivant® conjugate- Modi-1 clinical study expected to start in CY19- Homocitrullinated peptides under evaluation for inclusion in new Modi-2 vaccine targeting multiple solid tumours- Strong Patent protection- Shortlisted for CRUK Grand Challenge award

A very fair assessment, the two new appointees could indeed be a prerequisite for any potential future collaborations or deals.Let's hope that is sooner rather than later and before the current cash runs out.

Tosh,

Why do you think losing GC would lead to recruitment of new staff? Wouldn't the opposite apply?

A standard licensing deal with BioNtech would require Scancell to identify & develop X number of TCRs based on the Moditope platform. Before BioNtech part with hard cash in the form of an up front payment they'll want to satisfy themselves that Scancell actually can deliver. Looking from the outside you see a tiny, underfunded bio who are over-reliant on their CSO who only works part time for the Company. No matter what the reasons, there have been delays and they have spent far too long without any products in the clinic.

If Scancell really are to take the Company to the next level they need to put in the infrastructure to cope with any commercial deals. I honestly think it's as simple as that.

Lozan - you make a fair point and I have no idea of the background detail - I was making an assumption that anyone moving job even for a higher salary would want to ensure that it was not a short-term appointment because the company was about to run out of funds. However you never know and they may have just been desperate to leave their previous employment. By nature I place a greater faith in human nature than is deserved but my judgement is they joined for good reasons and not just economic ones.

Tosh - I have no idea. I have deliberately sought not to communicate with the Scancell Board regarding their ongoing activity as you end up compromising both them and yourself and it is particularly unfair on them. I am sure there will be a Plan B but what that looks like I have no idea.

NXC -
Please don't make out that the sole attraction for those new appointments was simply/only for their wish to join-up/take-up a position in SCLP is because this -
"demonstrate{s} that the company is growing up and is able to attract talented people."
Some might opine that - A job with salary...in their field - may also be a 'factor/ attraction'

NXC,
i took it that the timing of the new recruits suggested that the BOD were aware that they had been unsuccessful with their GC submission, which in turn, then suggests that there is a plan B.
Would you agree ?

I can provide you with a dictionary if it helps you. As a matter of interest what words were you referring to ?

The reason I posted was to correct some commentary on spinning out Moditope and I thought it was important to give the accurate historical perspective and that the credit given me by a poster was incorrect.

I am not bearish on Scancell and my comments should not be interpreted as such - I have invested over £400k and whilst there is no guarantee of a return I do believe that we will get there eventually. The appointments this week demonstrate that the company is growing up and is able to attract talented people.

Usually a bearish omen when staff/ex-staff post on the boards imo. What good can come of that? Even worse when you have to consult a dictionary to understand words that probably haven't been used since 950AD.

The caped crusader continues with his rubbish....
what i can give you is ... i cannot find a reason why we will not get the expected data ..

""" so you can bet that a problem exists that you cannot identify """

""""iI bet that no problem exists because i cannot identify one """"

and that is the difference between us ...

No you cretin, the problem is that you cannot understand the most basic of principles.
RR bets that there are "possibilities" of problems ( as does the rest of the human race and more importantly, ALL the pharma's, otherwise the share price would reflect it ).

More telling and to reinforce your inability to " identify " risk, is the fact that you didnt have the intellect to " identify " that the share price would hit 7p NOT £8, like the rest of us did.
You've CONSISTENTLY WRONG 100% of the time.

Ray Pointer,

Have been out of touch for a couple of days and am just catching up on posts on both bbs.

If you are around and read this bb, you've speculated on a new collaboration with BioNtech (or A N Other) but can you explain for what? ie. for Vaccines, CAR T etc. etc.?

"squirm" -
I still prefer the description of HIS ranting I made YEARS AGO as =
HE is flapping about like a 'beached Dab'
.
Maybe time for an update on the 'bunker' images *WE ALL* enjoy so much ???
.
Rather STRANGE, is it not, that the imagi'nany' £8 takes centre stage...AGAIN
When SUB 8p is REALITY
Maybe 8p might prove a 'generous' bid...in times earlier than the imagi'nany' £8 appears

Gazza,
its honestly the desperate attempts of a failure, to try and grab back some control over the BB.
Look how many posts he's made today and then think why... Its because yesterday, a few posters told him that he was WRONG, and he cant handle that.
He can no longer bully everyone over there, certain posters are challenging his wild and inaccurate statements, and he doesn't like being caught out.
Lets watch this unfold over the next few days as he tries to discredit anyone that has the audacity to tell him that he is WRONG. Lets watch him resort to a manner of underhand activities, such as misquoting people, and twisting words etc. It wonderful to watch him squirm.

Panama,
he's just a pathetic child.
Look how desperate he is to be taken seriously having been proven to be WRONG yet again... He hates it... He can't handle the fact that he's been made to look stupid, YET AGAIN..
He's trying everything he can to try and get some form of control back.
Its honestly pathetic

Tosh, he has been banging on all day about the Market just doesn't understand, if that is the case then that would suggest that the BOD have totally failed in getting their message across to the Market.

I have no intention of doing any of what you tell me to.
I have stated my position and that'll do me.
Anyone who has more than one posting name on a BB in my view cannot be taken seriously. Why would anyone do such a thing?
This is a public BB. I have reservations about claims made by another poster, you do not.
Please do not persist in telling me what I should believe.
I think you've demeaned yourself with this approach. I'll very politely ask you to stop raising this matter, I'll have no further part of it.
