11/10/2017 06:14 | timbo, it is a very good recording, and a very informative AGM. Look forward to you posting about the conversation. ATB | chelsea35
11/10/2017 00:00 | Steve67 on LSE has kindly provided a fairly decent recording of today's AGM, including Q&As: There is little point in writing notes on that part of the meeting when the real thing is available, however, I did get the opportunity (along with others) to talk to RG after the meeting, so I will endeavor to write something up on that conversation when I get a mo' | timbo003
10/10/2017 23:33 | Bermuda, fair play that is an excellent response, but the fact remains no matter how hard Goodfellow tried he did not achieve many of his stated aims and has cost some investors a lot of money. | panama7
10/10/2017 18:03 | Wait for it..."I have enough freebies already"Yawn. | wigwammer
10/10/2017 17:55 | Tosh, You guarantee that major shareholders were involved in his removal? Quite a statement - do you have any evidence? Two options here:- 1) RG has planned for some while now to step down as he is way past normal retirement age. The signs were there if you bothered to look. An orderly handover has been planned, hence the announcement at the AGM. 2)He was ousted, helped along by major shareholders and is about to start selling his stock. You say that you have experience in business. When was the last time that you saw a CEO kicked out who was allowed to (and was happy to) stay around and run the AGM? Or who continued running the Company? Or who was given a seat on the Board? Do you really think, especially given the confidential nature of the IP involved, this could be anything but a natural progression of events? Either way, you should be happy - it's exactly what you and others wanted isn't it? I am convinced that nobody will be more disappointed than RG that a deal hasn't yet materialised here. No matter what you think of him, you can't deny that he has worked tirelessly to try and secure that deal and support the development of the tech. He also has to be one of the most approachable CEO's on AIM. | bermudashorts
10/10/2017 17:51 | Tosh he's still on the BOD so I suspect still on the gravy train. | wanderer1210_0
10/10/2017 17:18 | Wig, furthermore, i guarantee you that the major shareholders would have been involved in the process, which goes even further to reinforce the feelings of many on here that the man had lost credibility. Its just a shame that they left it this long. This should have been done a long time ago. The next really interesting aspect surrounding RG, is to see whether he starts to sell his holdings. His options will probably only be of use to him if they are " puts ". | tosh123
10/10/2017 17:10 | Wig, not is... " was ". A CEO / Commercial Director who promised deal after deal, and some 3 - 4 years later has closed nothing, and the share price depressed by 70% - 80%, its not rocket science is it ! In any other industry, the guy would have been sacked a long long time ago. It appears that even the BOD have lost patience now, hence his removal. All this twaddle about his age is total nonsense, its patently clear that he's had his chances and failed. Rather than try your useless quips, why not try to build a case that the BOD were wrong, and that RG should have stayed... go on, lets have your rationale to keeping the status quo. | tosh123
10/10/2017 17:08 | Indeed. He has been held accountable, despite the non show from the keyboard cowards. Whatever will they contribute now? | wigwammer
10/10/2017 16:57 | Wigwammer, yes RG has been the problem and he has now been made accountable, whatever spin they put on it he has been ousted. | panama7
10/10/2017 16:51 | What I'm fore-telling is more spin and rhetoric Could be a good time to dip a toe in the water, as the BOD know this could be the last chance saloon, they can't afford to raise cash in single figures, so I expect a mighty pump from the new CEO, watch this space | wanderer1210_0
10/10/2017 16:49 | You both evidently feel strongly that RG is the problem and should be held accountable.Exactly why you should attend the AGM and ask awkward questions.Unless of course, this is really about enjoying the anonymity afforded by a chat room to attack someone who cannot respond, and not really about any conviction at all. | wigwammer
10/10/2017 16:38 | Tosh, you are 100% correct, it has been an absolute shambles under Goodfellow's tenure. Let's hope there is a fire sale in the very near future for anything above 60p so all Investors can get their money back. | panama7
10/10/2017 16:11 | Wig, RG is now history ( thank goodness ), but either way i had no intention of attending a meeting that will merely provide historic detail, and by definition cannot provide any new information that would materially effect the share price I have already looked into the whites of RG's eyes at the Brewery presentation, and saw all that i needed to then ( i reported back as such straight afterwards, much to the ridicule of many of the flock ), and guess what ???? Yep, thats right, a few days later there was yet another raising ( much to the surprise of the flock, but NOT to me ). Only one thing will now save this company, and that is funding at the right price or a deal, neither of which will be announced at an AGM, its that simple. RG failed time after time and he has now finally been shifted due to his lack of credibility. The new guy has about 6 months maximum ( from now ) to try and structure something, otherwise the BOD will be going back to the II's yet again for further money, at even greater discounts, with even bigger promises of great wealth tomorrow,,,, and if unsuccessful, there will be a fire sale ... I see the next few months as a watershed... lets see what transpires. Remember... DE's departure was foretold... RG's departure was foretold... Single figure share price was foretold.... No deal was foretold... No funding was foretold... 6 months ! thats it ! After that, the game is probably over. IMHO... Hope im wrong. | tosh123
10/10/2017 14:07 | Did some coward not go to the AGM to avoid asking them? | gazza
10/10/2017 13:45 | So did some coward resign to avoid answering awkward questions ? | kreature
10/10/2017 12:34 | Very pleased this BB has moved on from a certain poster. I came over here for a couple of reasons, mostly because i identified with what a few were saying.Expected to take a bit of stick, thanks for letting that go. | chelsea35
10/10/2017 12:14 | It doesn't sound like Tosh will be asking RG his awkward questions at the AGM.Didn't think so. | wigwammer
10/10/2017 10:30 | Well, no great surprises. Just perhaps the appointment starting on 10th January gives time for funding news and credit due to RGs tenure. Lets hope we build from here. | chelsea35
10/10/2017 09:38 | "If it wasn't for the significant achievements of Dr Richard Goodfellow, Scancell would not be in the position it's in today. - are they joking ? - for achievements read failures "Dr Cliff Holloway was appointed as a CEO of Immune System Therapeutics Limited on 4 October 2012. On 3 October 2014, the company was placed into administration and dissolved on 14 January 2015. The deficiency as regards to creditors was approximately AUD$2.75 million on the total admitted claims of AUD$2.98 million." Not good ! | mikethebike4
10/10/2017 09:28 | How does this morning's announcement make any difference whatsoever to questions that can be asked at the AGM? | bermudashorts
10/10/2017 09:23 | W.... do you really think that the BOD will allow that to happen, hence this mornings announcement. | tosh123
10/10/2017 09:06 | Will you be asking RG awkward questions at the AGM, to test your theory? | wigwammer
10/10/2017 08:53 | B... yes i read it, and i stand by my post... Lets just see whether RG plays any role in todays AGM, other than to sit in the corner. And as for the funding / deals issue, i also think that had RG of secured anything meaningful, then the BOD would have allowed RG to take credit for that, prior to announcing his replacement... remember B, they have announced this in an RNS on the day of the AGM, which is still some 3 - 4 months before the new CEO takes up post. | tosh123 |
