SugarCone blog post: Radical optimism: considering the future of immunotherapy

paints a negative picture: "In the last year – since SITC 2017 – there has been a constant stream of negative results in the next generation immuno-therapy space, with few exceptions. Indeed, each program listed in the table has stumbled in the clinic, with either limited efficacy or no efficacy in the monotherapy setting or the combination therapy setting, typically with an anti-PD-(L)-1 (ie. an anti-PD-1 or an anti-PD-L-1 antibody)."

Discusses the possible reasons for many unexpected failures, and why newer approaches may work better.

But all generally above my pay-grade.

'Poodle' - it's a fact that he ain't well. That's all I said. 'Cringe material' - sums up YOUR whole posting style - nicely done !

Anyway, absolutely NO discussion here at all, so have a good time. Off for fun on LSE.

TurkeyFan - 9 Recs now.

When will you learn. Your daily ritual of being C7's poodle and trying to gain his acceptance and approval does you no favours, indeed, it is cringe material reading your desperate attempts to get his support.

He is well enough to Police the board 24/7. Let's wait and see if the price drops today and suddenly he is asleep for a few hours.

''Anyone notice that C7 sleeps all day when the price is falling and issues serious medical bulletins explaining in detail how his health has deteriorated ?''

He ain't well M8 . . . and that's that !

Being an LTH in Scancell has been 'Long Term Unrewarding' so far and IMO it is not surprising when a ''said poster is wide awake and full of energy'' when matters, briefly or not, take a small upturn.

He wasn't the only one to feel a buzz (lower case).

Happy to see a price rise of course but it's a long way back to the not so long ago 15 pence ain't it ?

Jedd Wolchok again - (he of Project Blueprint, CRUK Grand Challenge co led by Lindy & Ugur Sahin)

"Blocking the brakes on the immune system turned out to cause serious toxicities in some patients. “We learned pretty quickly that immunotherapy was not a free ride,” explains Dr Jedd Wolchok, a cancer immunotherapist and one of the primary investigators in the clinical trials for Allison’s anti-CTLA-4 drug. “But we were also seeing some remarkable things.” For some of the metastatic melanoma patients in the study, even terminal stage 4 patients only days away from hospice, the drug effectively cured their cancer.

“You never forget that,” Wolchok explains. “And at the time, we really had nothing that would work for metastatic melanoma.” In 2011, that anti-CTLA-4 drug would gain approval as ipilimumab (trade name Yervoy) for use treating melanoma; it has since been approved to treat kidney and colorectal cancer. As a drug, it has saved many thousands of lives. But as a proof of concept, the success of ipilimumab proved that the immune system could, in fact, be weaponised against cancer. It also kicked off the search for newer, better immune checkpoints.

Yes very good day and great for any Astuties who topped up from the lows.
Foolham 77 at least had good sense to ridicule the the thought of baNANA getting a seat on the board as a SH representative.
Can you imagine him arguing about Science with Lindy wanting to raise a lot more money to spend on TCRs and Glycans.
He would want more platforms than York Railway Station and more products that B&Q.
Mind you his track record of arguing at Board Meetings is not a good one,Tge last occasion he got an extra 12 months for trying to argue his CONviction with the Parole Board

Well the only thing that should be CERTified is him and his IMHO means absolutely nothing as he is a pathological LIAR

Anyone notice that C7 sleeps all day when the price is falling and issues serious medical bulletins explaining in detail how his health has deteriorated.

Fast forward a few days. Price rises and every trade is announced, tick ups are forecast and the said poster is wide awake and full of energy.

Strange that.

Bang On Loz
The Village Dunce is now trying to call, the shots with Foolham 77 what is buy or sell.
Is also trying to pretend he is bullit board science expert by saying to an MSc I could have explained it simpler but I wanted to prove to you hoe SuperiorvI am to you and anyone else who questions the science.
But Nob the Builder refused to come to AGM and debate science cause he is a witless coward who is a total fraud.
An uneducated Billock who creates a hyper inflated EGO to hide his many limitations.
God weekend all except for trHYPERS

Bearing in mind Botski has always been positive with regards to Scancell his summary from last nights events does not remotely paint a positive picture. Let's face it this BOD has so far failed to deliver on literally everything over the last 6 years hence why the share price is where it is, nothing to do with Sentiment , 100% down to the failings of the BOD. Because we have a track record of failing to deliver everytimeit stands to reason we will not win GC. The vast majority of posters on these 2 boards bought in 6 years ago based on what we were being told by the BOD and we held based on what we were being told by the BOD the fact that you can buy these shares for a fraction of what they were worth several years ago highlights the lies, misleading statements and complete incompetence of the BOD. Having had time to reflect on the AGM there is no doubt that PI's are treated with utter contempt and a total lack of respect and the BOD are only there because they are legally obliged to do so. Chiplin couldn't get out of their quickly enough. No apology whatsoever with regards to leaving virtually every single PI sitting on losses. Chiplin even tried to compare his own position with that of Investors who bought 6 years ago with his purchases at 10 & 12p, quite disgraceful. I toned down my anger at the AGM I now wish I had told them exactly what I think of them and what they have done to their Investors some of whom will pass away before this ahare even gets back to 20p, must make them very proud.

The attendance was a bit disappointing and they only managed to get three companies to present (Scancell, Faron and Slilence Therapeutics). Cliff did the presentation for Scancell

There were quite a lot of questions during the Q&As so I only got a chance to ask one (re: FDA questions on Trigrid) and unfortunately I did't get much of a chance to talk to Cliff afterwards either.

I am hoping Botski made a recording of the presentation and the Q&As, but if one is not forthcoming, I will do a few notes.

Once again the village idiot crops up with his usual UTTER NONSENSE.

1) They have NOT secured any " commercial deals "... its that simple.
2) He now admits that the value is in the potential... " name any other share that has this pipeline potential "... so its not RISK FREE .
3) The idiot was shouting from the hilltops that there would be no delays, and ridiculed any posts that suggested the opposite, whereas now he concedes that ... " delays don't exist when you have not done it before, they are Estimates of Time so should never be treated as black and white "... trying to wriggle out of his previous posts on the subject.
4) They have already stated they feel that what is on offer at this stage was not good enough for shareholder value to be realised.... But i thought he said that all the trials would not fail.... In fact, he stated that he could see into the future.
If he can, why cant all the worldwide experts ?
5) why sell out early for a few £1's when we know we can capture markets worth Billions in """"Revenue""""... You cant sell out for a few quid even if you wanted to, you can only sell out for 8P.
6) its shareholders that took the share price down .... No it isn't, its the market in general. You can take a market down without being a shareholder. In fact most times that theres a run on a stock, its done by people who are not shareholders...its done by people shorting the stock ... idiot.

He just keeps on painting himself into a corner and then tries to wriggle out.. Numpty of the highest order.

Latest LOSS BOSS 'mis-info' -
"yet shareholder's moan ... its shareholders that took the share price down ... Buyers cannot "
NO IT ISN'T
It IS market REALITY that "took the share price down"
Leaving those BUY,BUY,BUY 'swallowers' blind to 'sensing the market' = High and Dry
AND = MOANING
Better to 'trade well' ...than 'throw more money after BAD'
