Inanaco. You're a good guy and dedicated to the stock but the reality of any equity is the downside is 100%.

Stuff often happens that is unknown at the time.

If it can happen to companies that make profits it can definitely happen to a biotech that is burning through cash and will need more!

In a firesale after all the liabilities have been paid up you'd be lucky to get back £10m.

IMHO ... scancells assets could easily sell for 30p/share and above in a forced sale

because i am valuing the asset not the sentiment

when i buy property it contains No goodwill value

its pure ......

what is it worth

look we all know the share price fluctuates most of the time because folks get bored, can't read RNS or just dont have a clue about the science ... all they do is look at elliots waves and make a guess buy or sell

agreed ?

so share price is not the benchmark to value anything other than sentiment

Give your head a wobble, Inan.I am highlighting why people view you (wrongly in my view) as a moron who is unreasonably bullish. You can choose to keep arguing that this share is "no risk" if you like, but that will just (perhaps rightly) confirm their opinion. It plainly has SOME risk.Don't shoot the messenger.....

so you consider the asset value risky ? MT

even if its a trivial amount ... by your own words

can you value that risk for us ....

as its an asset class

is that why the share price is so low ? from trinity at 37p ...

the asset has been written back by over half because of this extreme risk

which you say is Trivial

you are picking bits from the post Bermuda

that was a question to MT so its pretty obvious that i think they would

-----------------------------------------------

MT

the mcap is a sad £130m

are you saying Genmab would not bid £130m to buy out the deal that could cost them $600m plus royalties

and have the rest of scancell for free

Guff, inan. Risk is still risk even if you (and I) assess it as being trivial in relation to the potential reward.Where you go wrong is in making ludicrous exaggerations......smaller risks than the market price implies is NOT the same as "no risk".Have a good w/e.

bermuda ... yes i am saying they would

Genmab now has the opportunity to bid ..........

but so does BMS etc

inanaco

bermuda ....

its not just buying out the contract is it .........

its worse case scenario ..... scancell can't go bust it has no borrowing other than the £20m on the balance sheet which would technically cause a takeover in default .... you get your money back but before that happened scancell could raise again to cover interest ....

lets say scancell can see itself running low and can't raise ... so puts itself up for sale

an auction with a start bid at the SP

the scenario in question is last resort ..

scancell puts itself up for sale .............. will you get your money back

if you feel scancells assets are not worth 16p x shares in issue ... then you could make the case for risk in this scenario

not discussing equity investment singular

we are discussing the value of assets and with a contract in situ v the equity investment

So you are arguing that sunk costs are more valuable than opportunity costs, Ruck?Interesting......

Very simple. "No" is an absolute term. No risk means absolutely no risk.....which is equivalent to government-backed gilts for sterling denominated assets.NO equity investment on the planet is "no risk".
