Mount teide spot on. thing is the bondholders debt is secured against the OML's, I would be happy if we only purchased these assets once gaining assurances from NNDC. If debt holders of gas assets are playing hard ball leave them to it as without the OML's the gas assets will end up in liquidation anyway if they are not already.

They are hardly likely to give an update and reveal their hand and negotiating strategy, at what is probably a critical stage, if a deal is to proceed.

Seven Energy Bondholder's fear of SAVP walking away is probably crucial to the likelihood of SAVP securing a deal acceptable to its shareholders and financial backers, since the bondholders almost certainly need SAVP and its financial backers more than they need them.

I've just been sent todays security report for the region and within it, this was included:

'The cessation of militant attacks on O&G facilities is an offshoot of ongoing peace talks between the government and Niger Delta stakeholders. As long as this persists and the militants perceive an all-inclusive, productive dialogue system, the region will likely remain relatively calm'...

Many months ago, Zengas made a great case on here for investing in SAVP for the open ended upside of the Niger drilling potential. I bought into that proposition.

I am still clinging to the notion that, post- the lifting of the suspension, this part of SAVP's new business plan will still generate bagging potential, irrespective of what else is brought to the table.

They are fund raisers I believe and therefore, we all know where the monies are coming from for this deal, its just whether its a cash deal, shares deal or a mixture of both everything.

I'm really sat on the fence now on this deal so more than happy to hear both sides being played out on this board as I have no clue what the deal looks like, what assets we will take, are we taking a slice of or all their assets, or indeed what capex and physical cost to us the future borrowings/equity placings will have on my own personal shareholding so, in reality, I just don't see how anyone can say no to this deal apart from the location of the assets.

post by Agadem on LSE:

I've just been re-reading the RNS's like a saddo.

On 8th June suspension RNS there were 15 names at the bottom of the note.

On 13th July 7E there were 18 names.

The additional 3 names all come from a new company of financial advisers who've been appointed.

The company is PJT partners and they are a team of "seriously big hitters"

Take a quick read of the Wikipedia write up of them

Diversification, I agree that some posters posts are of very little value, but I am always open to constructive 'negative' posts.

AK because of his background will always be biased towards making money by financial engineering. This can be positive, but it can also be negative. I am keeping an open mind about the deal, because until we see it, none of us really has a clue.

While I accept we were perhaps struggling to find a farm in partner for $250m to ramp up the drilling in Niger, I was happy with the investment proposition as it was.

Some months ago when I asked AK how long he thought it might be before we could monetise the Niger assets, he clearly asserted that he saw himself as a serial entrepreneur, but one could jump off and make good money as one asset/project was sold and the next developed. I wasn't expecting it to be so soon to be honest, but if he's as good as his word I guess I can't complain that he's moved what I thought was the position of the goalposts.

You have to be careful on this board. If you take the time to research the company and then share your findings, if you portray a positive outcome. Lithologial comes along and posts 5/6 pointless posts to drown out your last post. It's worth keeping note of the negative posters on here, they base there own posts on no to little research.

It's worth remembering just how large Andrew Knott's shareholding is and that they aren't all freebies. Don't see him wanting to damage the share price unnecessarily!
