Ivor.
I totally agree. Have substantially increased my holding at the 30p price range.
Tried unsuccessfully to buy more today.
I actually like this long term

I don't see why holding the hostels (most of them) leasehold detracts from the business plan or value. The company adds value by acquiring slightly run down hotels in city centres then renovating them to double or treble the beds thereby increasing both capacity and usage. Expansion would be much slower and probably impossible if the properties were to be bought as freeholds. Size is vital to the plan and SSTY has apparently doubled its number of beds since October 2018.
One day in the not too distant future SSTY will be bought out - for much more than its current price.

This is not a popular strategy, buying hostels on leaseholds, the market is weary of this company, until there is evidence they can monetise these hostels then the market will remain sceptical!

is there a stated goal when they will stop growing and will start squeezing the lemon?

tia

to prove that they are not growing the business without profits - an unicorn in order to be offloaded

I think the market is waiting to see how things develop. The management has expanded the business at a very fast rate adding properties and beds. It now needs to show that it can deliver profits from these acquisitions. Ultimately I think the aim will be to sell it as a going concern.

The market seems to be saying that they don’t think Larry Lipman will deliver

So Just checked currently better bid at 37p than offered at 38p.

The rerating is overdue so the next two months should show interesting progress

Liberum should be more aggressive than Canaccord have been.
Good move I’d say

Expected pull back, should hold 36 before moving on. Hopefully more news to solidify this.

The real issue here is to who will buy it and when will it happen.

It will be exciting to be in the share when it does happen.

We appear to still be heading in the right direction, buys at 40 before close. Let's see if it provides much resistance or if we can move forward.

The business is growing and the share price should follow. The only pi's that will sell either need the money or see the opportunity for a quick buck elsewhere. Those with patience may see strong returns here over a couple of years.

lease costs of 6 - 7,8 %
majority of the bank loans is more than 12 months - it does not say much more, nor the average interest rates paid

not much of an info on financing in the 18 report. just how much, but terms are mostly missing.

what is average duration of the debt ?

how many major tranches of the debt?

good story - which is pretty much fixed and depends on successful the debt roll over

competition is huge - each bed that is on air b&B, hostels, cheap hotels ...
BUT - like in the fast food it is about experience - which makes repetition - which makes occupancy rates
