bookbroker: What is the aim for this company, to build a property entity or to create a value-based hostel chain, it needs to relay its message better as an investment proposition, because although I like the format, but is the whole business model dependent upon charging low rates for a bed and try and increase sales via the sale of sundry items leading to improved profits. They need to ensure higher occupancy during historically low season periods, maybe they should promote their product in other countries in the hope of filling the beds with educational establishments, cultural visitors, tourists, etc. The share price needs boosting whatever the outcome, it has been a rotten investment!
bookbroker: This company is being mis-managed, Sacramento a decent bloke fundamentally, but who is pulling the strings, Lipman is bent on expanding the business beyond current assets, they need to focus hard on what they have. There is a demand for low-cost beds in all their destinations, they should be filling them all and more, and the guests should be responsible for making their beds on arrival, this is a low cost model, so make it so. The staff should be responsible for cleaning the rooms for the price of board and lodging, and should be paid accordingly, but given a uniform and meals, and a supplement. Ridiculous share price, I mentioned this back in the spring, so why is it languishing?
bookbroker: I like the comments from Larry Lipman about leveraging the business, but I would like to see a higher share price to accompany his plans!
hybrasil: I have been buying & buying but my average cost is still .5125 or 20% higher than the current share price.
hybrasil: Share price keeps falling. If Larry has bought something else (we'll know next week) we will probably have another fund raise. That could explain it. The results have to be good and it has to be throwing off cash now
mr hangman: Bought into this today, great product, great management, if they get this right, the share price could be multiples in 5 years time, one to tuck away in my ISA
hybrasil: If you look back at the history of safestore you could expect the share price here to fall to the 25/30p range. Its unusual to have a share that depends on the deal making abilities of one man but that is what you have here. I have some as a result of my safeland holding but I will wait before buying more
interceptor2: I am sorry to say I had a change of mind after researching further, and sold what I had brought at the open. I think I will just watch from the sidelines for now, and hope that the share price increases from here for current holders. I'm a little confused, why have the company used only 2.1 million shares to work out their earnings today, when there are 9.6 million in issue, not including the convertible warrants.
battlebus2: Exactly fundfemale, that's my view here also the MV of 12.2 million like I pointed out in the header should equate to my initial 80p target. One we get another couple of these up and running we should see multiples of the current share price.
