05/9/2014 13:01 | If US market only that is not so bad given PTECs customers. Shows the size of the market but yes, it would be a more profitable place without paypal involvement. They might however want to buy a couple of these companies to get scale. What price a takeover? £3 minimum given it is tightly held. | trentendboy
05/9/2014 12:39 | ONLINE PAYMENT PROCESSOR PAYPAL PLANNING A RETURN TO THE US IGAMING MARKET Online payment processor Paypal may be ready to make a triumphant return to the US iGaming marketplace according to reports emanating from the Online Poker Report. When playing online poker, what do you take for granted? For me, it’s the ease of moving money on and off the sites. I only need to press a few buttons and hey presto. My money pings from one place to another and not a single bead of sweat leaves my body. I will not be alone in my praise of swift payment processing options, and this is why Marvin Gaye’s grapevine is jingling with anticipation, after Chris Grove of the Online Poker Report revealed news that Paypal are preparing for a US comeback tour. “Paypal plans to announce a foray into processing regulated online gambling payments in the coming months, according to a source with knowledge of the company’s plans,” said Grove. With Visa and MasterCard payments still carrying a decline rate of 25 percent, and journeys to/from cash cages eating away at online poker player’s life, the return of Paypal will be a breath of new air. Paypal has over 150 million worldwide users, and it’s an extremely popular method of ePayment in the US with almost every household brand offering Paypal as a payment processing option. They are trustworthy; they are quick and they are easy. “While we’re note yet in the business of solving gridlock, we know that wherever we can shave time from the payments process for our 148 million active account holders, we’re giving them back one of life’s precious resources,” Paypal stated in a recent study of Global Attitudes towards time, money and tech. That particular study revealed that 70 percent of the world believes that technology should make payments simpler, connected, faster, and with more choices available. They have asked the question, and now they intend to deliver the answer. Paypal are exactly what the US iGaming network needs and they have form. Not only were they one of the biggest US payment processors prior to the 2002 acquisition by eBay (when they withdrew from the US online gambling payments market) but also process millions of dollars for online poker rooms, sports books and casinos all over Europe. Earlier this year Paypal dropped Iovation as a third party that they would share customer information with. The fraud prevention platform that was set up by Greg Pierson, whom you may recall created the infamous ‘God Mode’ that Russ Hamilton used to extract a princely sum from unsuspected online poker players plying their trade on Ultimate Bet (UB). In June, Paypal were honored at the eGaming Review (EGR) B2B awards at The Pavilion in the Tower of London where they picked up the award for innovation in payment solutions. hxxp://calvinayre.co bad news for sch | dlku

29/8/2014 12:48 | rise today clearly on the back of ptec results and also news from BPTY on its payments processor and hints of changes to the shape of the industry. note that they even mention adding third parties to their current offering. SCH could be a takeover target at any time looking for 320 medium term | trentendboy
21/8/2014 12:08 | Trent end, XLM rocketingreckon XLM is going to multi bag from here | opodio
21/8/2014 11:29 | Closing in on highs and with OPAY flying again and approaching new highs I suspect a lot of these payment processes are in play. What is interesting with the gaming results coming out is that volumes of bets are flying even if profits for gaming firms are flat (they depend on results). For OPAY and SCH it is simply the volume where the profits are made and these seem to be growing quickly | trentendboy
17/7/2014 20:14 | Very tasty Institutions waking up to this one Although I bought a lot at floatations on the market it is tempting to buy more Opt taught me that upward momentum can take one a long way | trentendboy

17/7/2014 13:59 | Exactly - Teddy is a winner. It is worth backing winners. Of course his somewhat shady past is not ideal but means he is unlikely to be taken for a mug and will be able to strike good deals (at least for us shareholders). He does not run SCH day to day by any means. Best of both. Nice rise again today - given the margins I think this is underpriced. Compare this share price with XLM which floated almost the same time in the same sector. | trentendboy
17/7/2014 08:22 | most of us have made good money on PT, SAFE should and are doing payments for many of their brands & licensees as well in the forex, CDF spread betting business. I think Teddy's past come up every now on then as a distraction. the main problem (for PT) with Teddy's connection is the US license thing, don't think its an issue with SAFE. | tomstone12
17/7/2014 01:01 | And he controls this investment. NO thank you | opodio
15/7/2014 11:10 | ...and linked to PTEC They are not really late to the party (in terms of how long they have existed). Really this is a PTEC play as they will get all the ptec licencee gigs (Ladbrokes is a good example). I have a large PTEC holding and this is a nice hedge with better margins and could be taken over in its own right (something I expect to happen) | trentendboy
15/7/2014 10:55 | ok so Teddy Sagi is the controlling shareholder... | 43rick
15/7/2014 10:42 | I have really good faith in this one. strong growth, good reports and product. | tomstone12
15/7/2014 10:36 | opodio - who is Teddy Sagi? or are you referring to David Avgi CEO of SCH? | 43rick
15/7/2014 10:14 | SCH is late to the party Going to miss out on the US market which they cannot enter due to Teddy Sagi's involvement / time in jail, etc and bad actor clause in the US | opodio
14/7/2014 16:43 | The share price is doing well Once the high yield gets bedded in this could fly Margins are likely to be impressive | trentendboy
10/7/2014 20:03 | from the last RNS - June 30th - not a lot of suffering apparent here... The Directors are now pleased to announce that the strong start to 2014 has continued and that as a result, both revenues and EBITDA for the full year to 31 December 2014 are expected to be materially ahead of market expectations. nor here from the 18th June RNS SafeCharge (AIM: SCH), the international provider of payments services, risk management and IT solutions for online businesses, announces that it was yesterday evening awarded PaymentsCompany of the Year at the prestigious annual eGaming ReviewB2B 2014 awards. not a lot of suffering either in the share price rise since the April float, nor in the size of the UT at close today .. the large bid volume was only about a third satisfied with 73k changing hands.. I do not see either that SCH is "new to the party " - from the first day of dealings RNS § US$125 million Placing as part of Admission § SafeCharge is a payment partner across a diversified, blue chip client base § Leading supplier to merchants in the regulated European sports betting and gaming industry, retail securities derivatives and foreign exchange trading sector as well as enjoying a significant presence in digital goods and services § Notable clients include Gala Coral, Rank Digital Gaming, William Hill and FX Pro § MasterCard Principal Member and application for equivalent status with Visa § Between 2010 and 2013 the total annual value of transactions processed by the Group on behalf of merchant clients increased from US$1.6 billion (£1.0 billion) to US$4.8 billion (£2.9 billion) § In the year to 31 December 2013 the Group recorded turnover of US$43.2 million (£26.0 million) and adjusted EBITDA of US$11.3 million (£6.8 million) § No shares sold by existing shareholders, Chief Executive Officer Mr David Avgi or Northenstar Investments Limited, a company owned by a trust the sole beneficiary of which is Mr Teddy Sagi § Planned dividend pay-out ratio of up to half of EBITDA of the Company | 43rick
10/7/2014 09:13 | I wonder if SCH is suffering the same fate as supermarkets? Far too many players now, . Cut throat business and if your not the cheapest people will move. SCH is late to the party | opodio
01/7/2014 09:16 | Worth looking at the OPAY deal today Sector is growing fast and takeovers will be widespread | trentendboy
